As a ranger myself, wix is too perfectionist compared to the fatale. At points during fights, I'd prefer crit over weak point damage, especially on breaks. For example, the boss is facing all over the place and not hitting the weak point at every shot. But i suppose it's a more realist take on fighting bosses.
Most of the best rangers I know default to wix but because of that the fixa is also unreasonably expensive. I usually default to whatever is available while avoiding abandac, blastor, or unwix

Only issue with Unwix and Wix, is that Weak Points are either common or non existent for some Dreads/alternate versions.
Okay so I didn't do my guns wrong
I made a near BiS wix wingard (It is wix 4 instead of 5) and an Unwix 5 Sechetyl harmonizer multied to launcher as a secondary weapon (for mobbing), it mixes very well.
Blight round can create artificial weak spots.
If there are multiple rangers in the party, sometimes it is a smart idea to purposely miss your blight round on some bosses with weird hitboxes so that others missing the weak spot can still do ideal damage AND when a part break occurs on weak spot, you help maintain purple blight rounds.
Gear check and gear review is great. Sounds like a great place to bat around builds and ideas that sound great on paper but may clash with a player's playstyle or not work well in peactice. I have always told my friends to gear towards how you find you play. Of course, work to your goals, but consider your playstyle as well.

my guess is they are probably full potency. id say at the time of this video they were likely only bis for slayer and classes using fatale 5 weapons however with the introduction of gdk2 the math leans in losing just a smidge of potency for that massive amount of potency floor. unironically bigger number does not always equal more dps

Fixa Fatal is dependent if the Crit Rate is 75%+ or not. Otherwise, use Fixa Termina when running Slayer Sub.
Fixa Attack or Fixa Wix is better when Crit Rate is either 75%+ or below 50%. Because of Floor Potency being wild.
Wix is better off compared to Unwix. Outside of a few Dreads and UQ Bosses.
If Crit Rate is around 60%+, then go for Fixa Fatal.
so i think your first sentence is trying to say use termina if you have over 75% crit which yeah once you go over 60% crit you should be on termina but slayer sub only gives you about 5% crit so its not just "run termina when your using slayer sub" but thats about it
Honestly, we could use a new, more updated augment to replace GDread right now, if you're not relying on Floor. With all the others in place, barring the debuff ones, there's only Mastery, which is the same potency as GDread, and High Dominas, which beginning to age and haven't gotten much better ins terms of making them. Heard that Stat V may have been spotted in a JP clip of upcoming content, so maybe if they're willing to throw in new Dualbles too, or finally pull the trigger on Mastery V, I'd have something more favorable to switch to.
Im Bis long time (ok i could change my domina) but whats next for me? Its easy. Farm your capsules again and craft halphinale, gigas maste and gladia souls as many as possible. Why? Cause i don´t want to use a transfer pass now for the next gear ( atm 2 full passes and 4-5 voucher away from the 3rd). Only crafting halphi, gigas and gladia, cause it could be the carzy case, that sega goes this way: Put halphi, gladia and gigas together with maybe gdk to craft a new one xD
But the main reason: farm your shit yourself and for something to do.
If we get a new farm for Aegis soul then every high-end capsule is easy to farm!
prepare most of all your capsules yourself and buy if nessessary the rest from the shop.
As a Fremium F2P ark those Capsules are crazy expensive just for farming. at the end of the day is it even worth right now? When there is no crazy hard content🤔
1 stop trying to farm 40 of them.
2 Stock up on aug protects.
3 add your augs one at a time and gamble with 1 or 2.
4 repeat.
Huh 40 of what? Imma pack rat all my armors and my free wingard weapons have 4 to 5 fixas on them and all 80 with all LC capsules there kinda no reason to go all out in combat right now 🤔

The way the potency calculation works that little difference is multiplied many times over.
It's always good to have high potency, so you dont have to struggles with future endgame bosses. Im pretty sure Masquerader in December and Starless Aegis(pending name) in February gonna require near to BiS augments in order to beat them.
As for affixing, my method is to just farm for 4 capsules and gamble using augment protection, the success rate is around 50-60%, still, if that fail i can always farm more or try next month.
Im hoping to get gran gladia on my units in PSO2 day next month.
I’d agree with you about the gran Gladia, but everything else isn’t even that difficult to farm imo
