I have a Husqvarna high end 48" 25 hp Kawasaki motorized riding lawn tractor. My lawn is half way between an open field and a manicured lawn. I run over small twigs and branches that fall from trees, ant hills, some gravel on the road, and high, tough bahia grass. The grass grows about 2 inches per day when it rains and is humid and hot outside. The deck on this mower had to be rebuilt by myself after only 5 years. A flail mower would do a lot better. I noticed I have a front bumper attached to the mower with two substantial bolt holes attached to the front frame. Is it possible to attach this flail mower to the front of my riding tractor? Interestingly enough, it could be possible to leave the deck on, rough cut the grass with the flail mower and go over it one more time with the deck. That should help the blades in the deck to last longer since the flail mower would take care of the obstructions hiding in the grass. I have been looking for a more stout riding lawn tractor and found Kubota makes a better one at around $5,500. I have hilly areas to mow and a zero turn is too dangerous to use. What say you?

It would theoretically be possible to mount it to a riding tractor, but you would need to fabricate a custom mount solution and you'd need to have some way to raise and lower the mower.
We use the mower in hilly spots, and it works well. Usually we make one pass in one direction with the flail mower, and then mow back over it in the opposite direction to clean up the cut. On inclines, you just need to be careful that the engine isn't operating at too steep of an angle as per Briggs & Stratton's recommendations.
Your biggest hurdle would be finding a way to mount it in a way that makes sense. Sadly, there wouldn't be a straightforward first or third party option.
