- [List of components below] Here's the dream gravel bike build of my girlfriend. It's a Ritchey Swiss Cross (Thomas Frischknecht the swiss legend), with the new GRX groupset, DT swiss wheels, Panaracer Gravelkings and a lot of Ritchey parts.
The music is by Blue dot sessions from Free Music Archive.
Filmed by Caroline with a Fujifilm X-Pro2.
Edited by myself on Final Cut pro X.
Enjoy and don't forget to like/share/subscribe :)

I bought my 2016 model 3 months ago - been upgrading as I go along. Believe the hype...Ritchey make sublime bikes and it rides like a dream on and off road!
True that!
I love this video so much. Think I might have watched it 20 times already. I’m building a Swiss Cross too, can’t wait!
Oh John thanks for your comment and I hope you'll like your swiss cross as we do! It's a great bike!
Guidoline & Minivan what brake rotors and size did you choose for your build?
@@johnwedlake5543 I bought the old version with post-mount. I chose the Shimano XTR SM-RT99 Ice-Tech Disc Center Lock (160). The brakes: Shimano BR-RS785 Hydraulic Disc Brake Caliper with Ice-Tech Brake Pads. If you take the old frameset: you'll need also the Shimano SM-MA Adapter Postmount to Postmount Brake.
Guidoline & Minivan awesome, just wanted I need to know. Thanks! 👍
Oh, goodness, beautiful!
Thanks to your music ;)
another great build 👍
thanks leo!
beautiful bike!
Thanks Victor! I highly recommend this bike ;)
This just makes me want the Swiss Cross more. I have been looking at the Soma Fog Cutter. However, the Ritchey tubing is just so slick.
Martin! Buy the Ritchey, you'll be happy with that choice. There's a version with canti... ;)
Love the crusty old pedals. Perfection.
Gravel's gravel!
자전거 이쁘네요. 영상 잘보고 갑니다.
Thanks Joseph!
the one that got away
Beautiful bike. My swiss cross frame will arrive tomorrow.
Which tires and which handlebar tape were used?
I used the best gravel tires I know: the panaracer gravelkings 38mm. Forget WTB, way too exposed to punctures (I've tried...). The bar tape is a ritchey one, the pavé tape. I'll add in the description all the components! Happy bike build!
@@GuidolineMinivan Thank you very much.
Beautiful machine😍what was the final bike build weight?
Frankly I have no idea... I don't have a weighing machine here. But it feels light for a steel bike, that's only a feeling I know, but a good one!
What headset bearings did you go with? Do you like them?
I have chosen the ritchey wcs logic, they are fine i guess but the cane creek on my other bike is good too. I have a lot of different headsets bearings on all the bikes I built, FSA, Campagnolo, no one is failing... I don't have any bad experience, so I don't know for sure what a good headset is
would you recommend this frame as an all road/gravel/bikepacker?
Hello, yes I would! It's a comfortable frame, not so heavy for a steel one, but careful: no fender/no rack mounts... so only strap on bags like apidura. It's no touring bike :) but an adventure bike, for sure
Otherwise, I recommend the Surly Cross-check, best budget gravel bike, with tons of clearance (up to 45mm tire width), eyelets everywhere for fenders, racks, etc. A bit heavier though, because of the steel fork. But such a fun and capable frame...!
@@GuidolineMinivan rad. surly is too heavy for me : ). dont need the mounts, im strictly bike bags!
@@CoreyHowardPowerHour so go for the ritchey, they have a new edition, but you can find the old model for cheap...! It's a comfortable and funny bike!
You should make a Gravel bike dream build channel. Where you upload a new build twice a week.
Oh yes, I would ;) but I need a sponsor, then
how much she/you have spend for this dream bike? looks amazing man!
Let's say 1500 euros, more or less, with old spare parts I had. The frameset was in “sale” on bike24... It is amazing indeed, she loves it, rides dirt like never before. Thanks for the comment!
Funny! Got the same frameset from Bike24 in the same period. Was a great bargain. It rides like a dream.
what bottom bracket is that? i am trying to mount my one with a bb 52 but is not enough to put and the plastic screw.
Hello! I choosed the Shimano Ultegra 6800 Bottom Bracket Cups SM-BBR60. Not sure if yours will fit, but mine is ;)
Does that fork have a carbon steerer?
Yep, it has
@@GuidolineMinivan I have a canti version full cabon Gin and Trombones fork w/35mm under the stem. Wigly it is. Want to glue 22mm carbon tube inside. Is your fork wigly at the top. Thank you. odanodlam880@instagram
@@brianmaldonado3723 wigly? What you mean?
@@GuidolineMinivan Wigly = flex. I detect slight bending at the steerer and was wondering if this is common. odanodlam880 at Instagram
@@brianmaldonado3723 I have no flex - i mean, except the flex of the fork when hitting a rock - some compliance. Maybe you have to tighten a bit more the stem (more precisely: the stem cap). And no bend or whatsoever, mine is straight.
Valla la primera persona que valora las cosas y no corta la tijera a lo .....* 😁
Not sure to understand the scissors thing but thank you ;)
CHRIST ALMIGHTY! In the future i'd appreciate if you'd label videos like these NSFW !!! :P
hey man it's bike porn ;)
this is strange. wouldn't a "dream build" have Campagnolo?
I have my own fantasy :)
beautiful bike!
thanks!
