- MT200 - Budget Tattoo Stencil Machine Review
In todays video I will be taking a look at and reviewing the MT200 stencil machine. The MT200 is a budget tattoo stencil machine, and my question is... will the performance be worth the savings ?

I don’t have this particular model I have the similar lifebasics (i think) one off Amazon but it’s literally the same operation and style of machine. Inal bersekov and Daniel Silva use this type model and if they’re good enough for them they’re good enough for me:). But, Just a friendly tip for anyone using this style of printer I learned from Inal bersekov’s seminar is to either 1) turn it on for at least** 20 mins before use orrrr 2) just always leave it on. It makes a huggeee difference in richness but mostly the small details not only being transferred but also clearly and easily readable. I started doing this letting it get nice and warmed up well before use and it has helped a lot again, especially with any small details in the stencils:). Just a friendly knowledge pass.
Love the channel Tyler!
i have mainly worked with this type of stencil machine. once you get the hang of it you learn some tricks here and there. For example you can keep a blank sheet of paper next to it and tape your cut out design to the the paper. A few small pieces of tape on the edges will do it. Also you will learn how to position your design and feed the paper to minimize the cut offs.
The first one is extremely useful, thanks. I will definetly save some printer ink from now on.
Thank you for this. Was just looking at this unit
Anytime!
I have one very similar. Works just fine. The biggest complaint was the junk stencil paper that came with it.
Very helpful thank you.
Love your video….your video means to me alot❤❤❤ much love form nepal
Glad you like the videos ! Appreciate the support !
It do struggle with the spririt one…maybe it is just the one I’ve got from Amazon.
Great review btw
Thank you
Where i work we recently got a very similar printer. Its not this one but its got all the same problems lol. We just now opened the tattoo portion of our shop so we are planning on getting a better printer but we wanted to try one like this first.
Well I’m glad you have the same issues haha.. anytime I say negative things I feel bad. It works but it’s not ideal.
I have a similar style stencil machine and I can agree with you on the paper waste, it's extremely frustrating. I use spirit paper to get the best transfer though.
I'm saving up for 1 of the better ones.
Have you looked at the use of an ecotank printer for stencils, apparently you load it with the methyl violet ink and print on transfer paper.
I’ve seen people use it. I never have tho. Seems like a pretty cool concept !
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial I have one just for printing bc of the ease of use with the smart printer app and it works really well with my iPad( just have to save image to documents from procreate first) it's extremely easy to resize if needed and reprint. Definitely cheaper ink too.
Tanki yov very mach🙏
does us paper size thermal fit this one or just a4 ??
Tnq bro🎉❤
Can you print a piece that’s more than one sheet of paper? Or do you have to limit your tattoos to the size of 1 sheet
What is the other one you're using? Can you post the brand?
So what is your favourite printer?
What about a video on the led light you have? Is that by Glamcor or Lumecube? My ring light sucks! Thx!
Everyone asks me about that light. It’s a no name brand I bought off of an instagram ad lol I wish I could give you the name but it was a long time ago and there are no brand markings on it
Thx!
So I'm a newbie with tattooing and this machine I've been using for a couple months. It prints out pretty well but it got jammed along yesterday for some reason. I cleaned the roller thing inside and the metal part in the machine also and it printed good after that with no jamming. But something I didn't know was you can't use stencils with lots of shade? Like I said I'm still new to this. Maybe that's why it jammed also? ..
Hey Tyler, I have a question for you dude. No it's not about the actual printer. Have you ordered dynamic ink from any vendor the vendor doesn't matter and upon receiving it I mean even if I'm going to not use it for a little while and put it up on the shelf the first thing I do is I take the cap off and make sure it's you but I have ordered two bottles from a reputable vendor two different occasions back to back and both times the seals were broke/not sealed. Has this happened to you if son how many times would you say. I don't wanna use the ink. In fact this bottle I just received was a replacement bottle from the time prior. Thank you Tyler!
Hey, I’ve never received a bottle of ink with a broken seal before. Definitely don’t use it on someone. That sucks. They must have gotten a bad batch ?
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial yeah has same lot number as last one. I don't even want to say this again to element tattoo. They were so kind to just replace it just like that no shipping anything. I don't want them thinking I'm doing a scam or something. I don't know what to do about that. Other than order from different vendor and eat the money? IDK? Thank you Tyler I appreciate everything you do!
Ok so I really would like your advice Tyler. So straight up I can't afford the stencil printer you have. I've looked them a lot but just not in my budget. Can you recommend a stencil printer other than this one of course that won't break my wallet and is made how do I say better than these Amazon printers like this one. All I know other than your printer is the echo tank printers to me looks like it way to much purple ink and, the S8 brother stencil printer and of course yours. The S8 brother printer is around 500 and up. I really don't know what direction to take. If you can point me in a good direction would be awesome! Thank you Tyler and as always much much respect!
Hey man,
So this one will get you by if you are on a budget. The brother printers I’ve seen people liking I’ve just never tried one. They seem like people rely on those.
If you could afford the brother one I would prob go with that. If not then this one will get you by until you save up.
And honestly if it breaks, it’s Amazon they will return anything lol
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial thank you Tyler. I appreciate your knowledge and the very fast response! As always much respect!
You can actually use smaller bits of stencil paper but is supper annoying while you figure out how it copies it and where it is coming out. And still not as efficient as big machine you have there. In my experience I find that these cheap ones can pick up finer lines that the one with lamp.
You are right. I’m just not trying to play games trying to line up small stencils with small papers lol
I was happy with the way the stencils came out tho that I used. Definitely picked up the lines nicely.
Hello, how has this printer performed so far?
It was pretty good when I used it. But since the review I haven’t used it to be honest
Any particular reason you use deepness 2 instead?
It just makes it darker. Deepness 1 seemed to be too light any time I used it
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial Thanks for the response, I'll run deepness 2 in the future.
Are you able to print photos with Bluetooth or is it only a copy machine
It’s a copy machine
Also, where do I find the better machine you use?
Painful pleasures is where I got mine. If you Google it tho there are other sites that carry it
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial what is it called lol I have tried finding that type and it frequently brings up thermal laminator
@@Reading-inkyfun I put the screen shot of the listing in the video. I forget how to spell the companies name
Can you Bluetooth from phone to printer
No you can not
4:27 i cut them out and tape them on an A4 when printing the actual stencil. U still waste a paper but not a printed one.
Not a bad idea !
But it's reverse... What if there was words itd be backwards
This doesn't pair with ipad?
No it doesn’t.
Can't you print more designs on one sheet of paper to not waste stencil paper?
I only print out stencils I’m doing on my client. Not a bunch of random ones
Do you translate this review to Spanish?
I don't have the issues you're having. But I've been using these machines for years. Thermal machines are super inconsistent, and way over priced. Once you get the hang of how to print and plan your stencil, you'd be much happier with this machine. HELLA sharp, and consisten stencils. Not so much with Thermal machines.
It is untrue that you cannot use the scraps with this machine. I have an even cheaper model and all you have to do is take off the yellow sheet and feed the machine with just the ink and transfer paper. This will not be possible with a tiny little sheet but everything above, lets say 1/4 of a transfer paper is still very much usable.
Would you ever consider getting a tattoo?
Lol I have a bunch of them
You got me lol
As long as ‘black’ faces black it’ll work . That’s shit about having to use a whole sheet every time. Will pay to see an office space scene done to this stencil machine
lol love that movie.
Keeping it as a back up tho. If it breaks one day I’ll definitely do it tho haha

Thanks for sharing !
I never let it warm up. It worked well. But I will have to try that next time !
