      If u have an iPad you can do that without having to trace or trace the design the night before that's what i do l if your not comfortable i did mine by hand for awhile but your stencils always usually have imperfections lines getting to thin or 2 thick the amount of pressure u have to put to actually get it to transfer isn't ideal when your doing fine lines or lines as shading or detail for that matter I want my needles to match my stencil and that's hard to do by hand

      I always see portrait artist do stencils by hand but that you really need to understand where the light and dark tones are going but even then I would print mine! time is money people why spend a extra hour doing something you could do in 5 mins thing is when you do a stencil by hand if you mess up there's no fixing it you gotta restart and that's another hour so that's where printers come in hand u always have clients that don't like the original placement or want to change the design and that's who u should have in mind

    For me the pocketjet is my favorite, it’s smart with shadows and don’t make everything just black, delicate with small details, but I also have the cheap one in one of my guest spots, and I absolutely hate it, I do a lot of small details and fineline, and it just can’t do anything that has fine details, I just draw by hand if I had to choose between getting fine detailed stencil on that one

    Hi, have you tried a inkjet stencil printer as well? It’s just an eco-printer (Epson) but instead of filling it with different colors printer ink you fill it just with stencil ink. The eco printer can than be used wirelessly or hooked up on a laptop for example. Plus side: cheaper printer and also copier in one than the stencil printers and you can use thin paper to print on. (This does take some testing though to see what works best). Printing a stencil directly on paper also saves time and does it without the expensive stencil carbon paper. Down side: the special stencil ink is a bit expensive but gets cheaper (it gets some competition from other brands now). When you also buy their special paper (not needed per sé) it gets more expensive but still cheaper than working with thermo stencils and machines. Their special paper is also not as “flexible/ thin” as the carbon stencil paper so that is something to “Frankenstein” with using other thin printable paper. Maybe someone can sponsor you to check it out 😜? Thanks for the vids, super helpful and fun 🤩

      I have one I like it for some things but the stencils never last as long on the skin as the spirit transfer paper. Sometimes I can get them to last a decent amount of time but it can be very hit or miss depending on the clients skin I have found. I dont trust it for very complex stencils but it does come in handy sometimes for sure. You just need them all they all have pros and cons . Also the inkjet is prone to clogging up and sometimes then you need to replace the printer more often than these other options

      @@TattooShopTalk Use with photoshop and if people complain they don't know how to use them. Print in black and you get about 5K stencils. It will take a ton of $ for stencil ink but who says you have to fill it? Just buy a bottle for $180. I put just a little in the 3 color ink tanks and the rest in the black. Then print in only black. I have a EPSOM ET-2720 and it does up to 10 prints a minute without any fuss. Watch this video czcams.com/video/AOw2Q6xpqjA/video.html . Even if you buy one and fill it with 2 bottles it's still costs less than most of those things and you never have a problem. I have had mine for 6 months and I love it. How much does 5,000 pieces of stencil paper cost? The stencils come out better than anything I have ever seen and I'm 50.

      @topdawg3359 Před 2 lety

      @@TattooShopTalk well one creates a mask all it does is prevents light from burning the entire surface of the metal plate.bery old offset printing. The ink only sticks to that part of the plate while inside the press. Anyways I was thinking of a way to make that happen but with makeup. One prints off a thing that blocks all makeup but for the pattern printed. Then the user places that in their face paints the whole thing then removes it revealing the pattern. If you can make that happen the idea then prove there's a market for it then sell the concept it would be a new generation of makeup application. Hey I can't make it happen maybe you can. Maybe you use all that income for something good figured good idea. I got tons this was just makeup. Anyways I learned it from going to printing classes I had dropped out of highschool so I went to a community college cus my parents wanted me to learn something. Guess I did think interference patterns. Here's another idea. Head shops. You make a display case to hold smoke pipes the ones with the crazy swirls. They sit on the shelf but a Lazer shines on them and it projects images on the walls near by. Light art I call it. The lasers should move or the pipes so the images change. It's very beautiful. If you ever gain from these ideas make me a robot AI that can tattoo anything like a printer. I have no tats I'm waiting for the singularity. Then I'm gonna get a full body. Mainly things relating to music and geometry frequency resonance energy. I can help develop but I don't want any income and no one can know I had anything to do with it. I'd like to be more or less invisible. " We live in the now but believe there's only a few" get yourself high - basement jax- darn it sorry that's chemical brothers
