If they weren't so stubborn and changed to a aggressive 4-3.. hell, even if it was a aggressive 3-4... they would probably still be here.. the offenses they had were solid enough to be a team that could win 9-10 games.. but when u had to score 35 with no O-line we got the results we got.. based on how GOOD these freshmen were.. a rebuild should almost be complete (in term of being able to get to the ACCCG) if we recruit/find better O-linemen and overall class that fit what we want to do.. I believe Miami should do what Alabama did when they rebuild back in '07-'08.. Good run game, great defense.. the ACC coastal won't survive that type of physical play... then u won't need the next Ken Dorsey at QB to win because smash mouth football is sustainable long term.

Miami need to establish a legit running game against talented teams.. We've gotten better at pass blocking but run blocking is still a problem.. Our O-line need to get stronger hopefully a full off-season under Richt's program will be enough..
Yeah. It's gonna take a couple of years though to build the depth on both lines. That was the key to classic, dominant Hurricane Football. Practices were brutal because of the skill and the depth. That takes a few years. Although tbh, if Kaaya comes back we could beat, FSU, LV and Clemson and win the ACC next year. If he doesn't come back could be another 3 loss season. Not sure how good Rozier is.
Rosier as gotten better since the last game and he is probably going to start the first two games because of his experience. He is the only one out of all the QBs there now with a season game win and the others don't. I think the first two games will be good practice for the QBs

West Virginia's defensive scheme was similar to Miami's a year ago. Its good at first, but once you figure it out its easily exploitable, and lacked agression. Diaz has our defense in the perfect sweet spot for the U at an aggressive 4-3 scheme.
It is absolutely mind-blowing to me that it has been 14 years since Miami played in a major bowl game. It's just been a run of Russell Athletic and Sun Bowls over the past decade.
This was the beginning of a new era. Now we're 10-1 in year 2. We are 1 game away from a playoff bid. Either way it's been a great 2 years. We know we aren't there yet. Keep recruiting heavy!

For me i know miami did not have success in the decade of 2010 s but im gonna say this this was our best team of the 2010 s the 2016 9 and 4 team i know fans in general would say the 2017 team because of the 10 and 3 record the turnover chain started beating notre dame and virginia tech back to back when they were highly ranked . and holsum 1 holloway i beleive said the 2013 miami hurricanes 9 and 4 was the best team respects to holsum holloway love holsum 1 but i beleive 2016 miami team was the best in the 2010 s decade
