As a Brit myself, I remember watching a few of these shows as a little kid. So thanks for shading light on a part of the Welsh animation scene.
However, I wouldn't call 'Bobinogs' a good show by any means. I always considered it one of my least favourite cartoons of the 2000s. It certainly had a promising premise, but what got my goat about it was the execution. My problem is that it doesn't know how to balance its lessons with the story telling. That and the songs make Nickelback sound like Queen.
I could forgive its shortcomings if it wasn't so incompetent. I know Bobinogs was intended for a much younger audience in mind, but that doesn't give the makers the excuse not to try. I may have not been in the target audience when it came out; but judging on its qualities, it has the soul and passion of a bad celebrity cartoon. Is it any wonder it faded into obscurity?
