I stopped doing nails last year when my salon suddenly closed their doors without letting the employees know and it put a bad taste in my mouth and I went and got a reg job. I hate it. I miss nails so much. This will definitely help me gain a clientele again. Definitely gonna step out of my comfort zone
I put myself out there by making my business cards and putting business cards all over town in the supermarket in the gas station in restaurants places that maybe I think woman would go I give out cards everywhere I go I always have them on me so I could hand them out even to Men and I tell them tell your wife if she needs her nails done to come to me it works.

I love when you guys do videos on social media marketing. I just became a licensed nail tech last year and I’m trying to grow my clientele now . Instagram is my main source of marketing currently. I’m on Facebook as well but Facebook seems to glitch my business page a lot so I’m not really sure what I should do
I built my clientele through Google maps firstly linked to my website which I simply saw as an online leaflet price list, 20 or so pictures,a bit about me simple ,Then when I acquired a great client I would get them to network for me offering them a discount For there referrals , I also went old school in printing of leaflets with a one day voucher offer and getting lexi my daughter to Distributing to women who look like they have there nails done targeting directly by asking would you like your nails doing today for a special price it works 2 hours outside a supermarket you get a dozen bookings , Also learn to get a signature look to your nails my friend would be in town who is also a nail tech she could spot my nails all the time in the bank she asked the clerk did Katie and Steph do your nails even her doctor lol or in the coffee shop because I also made a conscious effort in going in to local businesses and making sure that I got the front of house people That could show off my nails, to the locals ,Social media for me is a complete no-no it’s a way of my competitors having a deep insight into my business possibly stalking my clients following their comments opinions trying to pinch my clients plus clients sometimes clashing and whole array of possible negative effects Social media also makes it easy for my competitors to just copy what I do what has taken Time for me to strategise on ,Good old word of mouth and networking still works for me Be active go out and get business wear your product ,I’ve seen people that just qualified sit all for days on end behind a screen wondering why haven’t I got business I’m on Facebook I’m on Instagram and still no bookings...!! Loads of followers and inquiries though cheers guys thumbs up

Don't be afraid to show your work.. People will love what you do and there will always be someone who doesn't. Do not let those people get to you ❤️❤️❤️
Another thing that I offer my customers is loyalty cards if they come 5 times its $5 off their 6 set and 10 times they get a free fill all other things are extra.
I gave birth to my son last year and took a whole 5 months off work, I’m home based, I had a good clientele and some that come and go before I gave birth! I’m now trying to build my clientele, but I live in Sydney Australia and in an area where people are either not interested in nails or only want to go to a place that will do nails in 1hr or less and cheap! I have tried inboxing multiple people on Instagram with a good following and get complete rejection, I have also tried commenting on posts in woman’s groups they are either uninterested or don’t wear artificial nails! What can I do? Please help! I post daily on my Instagram and Facebook and still not satisfied with the results! Thank you xx
