Sir, May I request your advice. Male,81 ,non smoker,no alcohol vegetarian. Just had ultrasound scan,primarily for prostate purpose. Scan of liver,says it is minimally echogenic( same dr had described it as mildly echogenic and 14.5 cms longitudinal span in 2016) Now the longitudinal span14.8.However a hypochondriac area measuring 3cm×2cm is mentioned in the right lobe of liver.The dr has put a question mark to link it to focal fatty sparing .Gall bladder is contracted. What may be done to confirm the nature of the hypoechoic area and ensure that it is only benign.I am on Mrtformin dutasteride,and Roseday 5mg. Years before I was taking atorvastatin,later Rosedale mg . As lipid profile was well within normal limits since some months I reduced Roseday to 5 mg. A recent LFT was also normal. Can I further cut down or stop roseday abruptly. One year ago my elder brother died due to malignancy of liver. I have physical activity in the form of veggies cultivation for the kitchen and would like to say that there is enough exercise in that form. 944 69 70 638. Right from my early teenage, It was noticed that swelling on both my ankles, especially during the summer but during the rainy season it disappears. When I eat certain food items like beef, plantain etc. the swelling reappears irrespective of season.
