Acting in front of a green/blue screen must be extremely difficult. Props to that kid
Ans one more person that is so impressive in this filmmaking: the director. Acting for a kid with only bluescreen is difficult enough, so enabling that kid to pull that off must be really tough too.

Damn. I knew this movie was full cgi but I was kind of expecting the animals to be replaced by people in the blue suits for him to interact with in the scenes, not for him to play scenes all by himself. So much respect for this kid

That kid is a freaking great actor! He deserves an award
Jay Loves Stix notice somewhere in the movie when he's cleaning himself with river water, his leg was very dirty and the only thing he cleaned is his arm, and he did it a couple times which wasn't dirty at all. If you call that a good acting you must be dumb. I also cringed almost everytime he speaks.

The director loved working with Neel so much during this movie, I hope that this is a start for a good carrier for this boy. he was just excellent for Mogli, and I always wished I was Mogli when I was little. (they made this movie just for me!!) lol

I find it interesting how, even though it's called live-action, it's technically an animated movie with a few live-action elements incorporated in it.
Well, Sorry they really worked hard for something that doesnt have action every five seconds that you dont enjoy. I cant wait to see your live action movies :)

Also, the technology behind this movie was fascinating. :) The computing power to make movies in the 2010s - 2020s are trillions of calculations per second.
Motion capture, CGI, hair simulation, blue screen tech, augmented reality. Man, this is why I liked the movie. Plus the plot was kinda cool.

I don't think you know how 3d rendering works. You just watched a 2D, pre-rendered video. When dealing with objects in a 3d space, you have to render everything that you see on the screen with advanced graphical computation hardware. Obviously, most computers would easily be able to watch this video, no much work has to be done, but in a 3d environment, especially one as advanced as this, you need to typically have multiple computers rendering the final product at once just because of how much of a load this takes on a computer.
Frodinir2 It would probably run on any computer with gpu / real time encoding. The previz graphics aren't pretty good, so the most of the rendering time is probably the chroma keying
