When I only break out on one side of my face replacing my pillow and pillow case usually helps. Some pretty nasty stuff can get really deep in pillows. I try to replace them every 3 months.
If the side of the breakout is the side you sleep on at night try using a new pillow case every night for a while! I did that in combination with washing my face frequently and that helped a lot
It could be from you laying on pillow or other surfaces that can carry a lot of germs. Try changing your sheet 2 times a week to see if that helps. Doesn't hurt to try.
