Hi Jaymaccool, sorry for the very late reply. Probably to late now, but me and my Dad just restored it, shot blasted and repainted. No new parts, apart from the obvious, brakes, discs etc. All parts are original, including plastics (Datatagged). It sounds pretty smooth, no rough parts really, the aftermarket exhaust is louder than the original though.

Good work mate nice to see people restoring old bikes plus the old 400s are so much better than the new equivalents like the ninja 300

Thanks for the reply. I finished mine and just sold the bike recently. Your video gave me some ideas so thanks. Just for the record, the rattle/tinny sound went when i changed the oil.

I'm building the exact same bike now, but I can find restoration videos step by step or the mechanical assembly drawing
Could you maybe help me out with that, maybe send screen shots or something?

I had to re upload the video mate! The sound didn't work after a while on the last one. This one seems fine so far...
    The songs are called:
Skillet - Falling Inside The Black (First one)
Skillet - Whispers In The Dark (Second one) :D

Hey man, looks good. I have the exact same bike and I'm doing a slight rebuild myself. Just wondering: did you completely replace the rear shock? Where did you get it, as the original part is hard to come by unless its used and 20 yrs old. Also, hows the engine sound? Mine sounds quite rough and tinny. Theres a slight rattle. Altho it could just be the natural sound of the engine.

Hi George, thanks alot! Yeah I know, I've still got my GSXR 400, however I'm riding my Dad's Suzuki GSXR 600 K1 now. He's recently gave me it, amazing power in it! I have a new account for my motorcycle Vlog's (coming soon), subscribe to youtube account 'marc20gsxr' and keep an eye open if you like :)
