- Here we break down the sympathetic nervous system, associated neurotransmitter and receptors. Identify common names referring to the system, neurotransmitter and receptors. Identify our SABAs vs LABAs and talk about indications for these drugs.
Brother, your videos ARE AMAZING!!!!! 5 years later I couldnt understand the difference to save my life but you really helped me!
More pharmacology vids brotha! Your material is on point and supplements my understanding!!
Thanks, man! Any specific pharm subject? Thanks for watching!
Respiratory Coach honestly anything and everything about RT pharm, however our next unit will be on drug dose calculation, anti-microbials, neuromuscular, and drugs affecting CNS. So, a vid on this material would be dope.
In this video you spoke about sympathomimetic. How does that relate to sympatholytic? My instructor is teaching us both endings for sympatho & parasympatho.
This information is great though! You summed up the chapter in less words & time than my instructor and best of all, I understand now. Thank you for this & it was great to meet you today at the conference today in GA.
Sympathomimetics mimic the sympathetic nervous system, where a sympatholytic (not a parasympatholytic) would block the sympathetic nervous system. In respiratory, we always want to mimic the sympathetic nervous system because it is associated with airway dilation and decreased mucus production. It was very nice meeting you as well!
You’re a lifesaver coach! You’ve honestly helped me pass a few of my classes so far. Thank you for doing this.
Sweet! So glad you find the channel helpful.

Thank you
oh thank you soooooooooooo much. this was a hard concept for me to learn and a harder one for my instructors to teach.
Very useful videos for pharmacology .. i wish you could talk about drugs that used with MV patients ❤️
I can. Got it on the list.
As I remember from RT school, adrenergic drugs cause increasing in secretions from mucous glands, but decrease from salivary glands. Aren't they?
I think you're thinking of the sweat glands increasing, while all other secretory glands decrease production during fight or fight, which is the response we seek to illicit with adrenergic drugs.
@@RespiratoryCoach that makes sense, but I am wondering is that a mistake in my pharm book or what... How can I send you a picture from it?
@@olgashybisty7967 You can email it to respiratorycoach@gmail.com.
