this process is so mentally grueling and I thought I would document most of it.
I did compete/apply for a few selective and/or full rides which I can cover in a later video.

I have committed to Cornell University at the College of Human Ecology! I am so grateful to have this opportunity! I have taken some time to reflect and I will NOT make a stats/ecs video. However, I will be listing my stats and main ecs here :)

1. HOSA/HOSA Bowl - 3 yrs in AZHOSA, 2x state champion team in HOSA Bowl, 2nd place at ILC (2022), 4th place at ILC (2023)
2. Worked as a server at an assisted living facility
3. Completed independent research on the resurgent need for music therapy in oncology departments post-COVID w/ mentor at Loyola U. Chicago (this counted towards both my biomedical sciences capstone project and my seal of fine arts proficiency)
4. Interned/Shadowed at the local Banner Hospital
5. Best Medical Documentary (school level) - topic: pediatric leukemia
6. 2x All-Region violinist
7. Orchestra Council member for 2 years (historian in 11th, stage/concert manager in 12th)
8. Tri-M member for 3 years (10th-12th)
I truly didn't do anything crazy in high school. My biggest components in my opinion were my rec letters and my essays! I really focused on essays and making my application cohesive and multifaceted.

Michigan State for sure. That program will save you so much money and bypasses the MCAT lol that's amazing. Gotta go Michigan State

I love your energy and was sorry about the Penn decision. I'm an alumni interviewer for them so have a bit of insight into what works. All that said, if you want to study more than what's on the MSU MD track Cornell will give you a more rounded education and has a better national network of alums.
ah thank you!! i was definitely crushed about upenn for a while but honestly it taught me so much about the importance of fit in schools! looking back, upenn was not the school for me, which is okay! i have committed to cornell and i am beyond excited!! so grateful to be a part of the big red family!

last year I also got a likely letter from Cornell and I cannot tell u how much I was screaming and jumping around hahahaha. I ended up selecting another school, but I rlly hope u picked Cornell over Michigan State bc ur going to get recognized a lot more with Cornell on ur resumé than Michigan State (and this is true bc I got offered so many research positions just by having my college on my resumé)
