1.) in car settings turn off ESC
2.) switch DSG to Sport mode (S)
3.) left foot-press brake, right foot full gas and now release the brake
4.) enjoy
btw: closed windows, fasten seat belt, straight steering wheel..

That was your soft limiter. Not a launch control
Soft limiter is 3k rpm
This is launch control. Soft limiter is 3k rpm. Most dsgs come with launch control if you have a traction control button and sport mode. You’ll be able to tell because if it isn’t activated, it’ll just brake boost to somewhere around 1000-1500rpm
I think it would say Launch Control activated on the MFD. I think its just the normal limiter for DSG like in Park mode also.

@@gabrieldetwiler7078 you cannot completely turn of the ESP on any other golf than GTI and R ..... There is no launch control without the completely deactivated ESP. So there is no launch control in the video, neither in your dad's car .

That is not launch control every automatic car does that
every automatic car does that- yes, but it is soft limiter and it is 3000rpm here, launch control is 2500rpm at stock.
