They’re probably going for the Jurassic Park 3 Ceratosaurus color scheme as the Ceratosaurus in that has the same red on his head
Answer of the day:
We don't need very many accessories.
It adds unnecessary costs to the product.
It's a lot (sometimes a lot) of extra stuff that we don't, or won't use.
However, a small variety of extra stuff is nice.
I just wish someone would make Killer Instinct figures

QotD: Im honestly not a fan of extra accessories. To me, its extra stuff not on the figure to keep track of. On the flip side. The biggest value for me is when a figure comes with a good deal of accessories, but they can all be on the figure when not in use. GI Joe is really good with that, and its a shame I don’t collect that line
The question of the day’s hard to answer, because it’s so unique to a figure-by-figure basis. For example, I expect more accessories for a Green Lantern action figure than, say, a wrestler. Although at a minimum, I always appreciate an ‘angry’ or determined face for characters who can fight, because putting them into a fighting pose is kinda lame if their facial expression is ‘dead inside’.
This particular figure is really impressive, even if it’s not my personal cup of tea. I personally love the red head; it looks very striking, and is in line with certain artists’ interpretation of dinosaurs (even if it is just flights of fancy, and not grounded in science)
The red head and white body is based of the look of the same dinosaur from Jurassic Park 3. It's only one short scene, so it's easy to forget.
Two extra heads, a few extra pairs of hands, a unique accessory or two, and an effect piece, i think, is the perfect amount of accessories.
For accessories, I need at least two heads (three if the character is emotive) and at least two pairs of hands (fists and grip/trigger or open) and a weapon or something to hold.
As for the head being a different color, if you kept a lot of reptiles, the heads and back are often a different color than their pale underside.

honestly accessories wise. A few hands and an alternate head is usually enough maybe, an extra prop that's character dependent

A cool looking dino warrior action figure!
I pre-ordered the orange due to that weird red to white transition. Its also very odd that arent digitigrade, but man am I stoked for this.
I rarely switch hands or heads on figures i buy because im afraid of wearing out the joint or peg . I pose my figures but not that much since i have so many of them . I do like power effects over a bunch of hands that makes more sense to me accessory wise .

2 heads, 3 sets of hands, depending on character 2 power/blast effects and at least 1 weapon.
it depends on what the accessories are. if it's just a bunch of hands and heads that are gonna sit in storage forever then it's not worth it to me.

Why is the bicep so much whiter than the shoulder and forearm? It's not even that it's the inside of it or something, because you can see the places it lines up with on the shoulder and forearm, while lighter still aren't white. They really should consider painting the pieces at the same time, or at least having some better qc/planning, so their stuff doesn't look so disjointed. This looks like someone took separate figures and combined the pieces.
$70 is a great price considering what we pay for SH figuarts.
I think the body on this looks awesome and the head looks great too but together I really don’t like it lol.
for me, the long, skinnier neck throws it off.

I have of of the first releases and a trex and i love them. Some of my favorite newer figures are none IP. I like that they arent tied to anything and thier own thing
