Hi Everyone! This week we're talking about creating soothing and tranquil interiors with neutral colors. Please let me know what you think of the video and if you like neutral design schemes. 🤍Liz
NEUTRAL DECOR is my FAVORITE!!! I use Dark ESPRESSO BROWN flooring with WARM TAN walls. Bright White ceiling and Trim. My Kitchen has WHITE CABINETS. We built our home 1 year ago. I use Whites, Tans, Dk. Espresso Browns. I use Green Plants sparingly throughout. I LOVE the minimal, CALM, yet warm & comfortable design!!!❤
Thank you so much for the video. It is so helpful. I'm in the process of remodeling my house and know that I want a calm and restful color scheme but this is my first home and first remodel so it's a lot and sometimes it seems like the more I read and the more videos I watch the decisions start to get overwhelming. This is going to get expensive so I want to get it right. Again, thank you!
You're very welcome! I'm so glad it helped. Congratulations on your first home and remodel. It's exciting but can also be stressful. I hope some of my other videos can help you out as well and please let me know if there are any topics I haven't covered yet that might be helpful to you. ~Liz
Over the last few months of serious thoughts on home design, I’m coming to the conclusion that I don’t care what style furniture and accessories are nearly as much as that they all be neutral. I just need that calm. ☺️
I'm glad I found your videos. I have been changing my wall colors to neutrals' and like the play of natural light and how it lets my furnishings stand out. It just seems calmer without the walls setting the color tone.
Excellent instruction and examples of how a minimalist should go about creating Maximum Calm! So happy to hear that wood is making a comeback. Just went through the GREY tone trend (floors, walls, kitchen cabinets, barn doors, etc.) with my Realtor, but there was zero connection for me with that palette...WAY too trendy! Thank you for this!
You're welcome! I'm so glad you found it helpful. Yes, grey is starting to fall out of favor and warmer colors are on the rise. I still like it but mixed with some warmer tones. It's all about balance and what resonates with you! ~Liz
@@BalanceRhythm Working a grey couch with warm walls now in my home. Challenging but doable. The couch was purchased at the zenith of the grey trend. So looking forward to more of your videos!
Hello I'm glad I stumbled on your video. I have always loved neutrals. I like to have one neutral color on my walls and then add color by adding either a black accent wall or I'll pick one accent through out my home. Thanks again.
That's a great strategy! I love the way black accents look against neutrals and carrying your accent color throughout the home creates a cohesive look and feel.
Your videos are really helpful. I just have a question with a tile flooring of light gray with white background will a sofa with a touch of light army navy green will make it look good? Thanks
Hi Regina! I'm so glad you're finding the videos helpful! How the green will pair with the white/gray tile will depend on if the white and gray are cool or warm. That shade of green is on the warmer side with yellow undertones so coordinates best with neutrals that are warmer. But you can still make them work together by bringing in decor that ties them together like an area rug, throw pillows, warm metals and, in this case, plants. ~Liz

Neutrals are my favourite. They go with everything and are so calming. I use lots of textures in throws, pillows and baskets to provide interest.
Thanks for the great pictures for examples 👍🏼
