I’m goin Air force (Air Guard) and while I personally don’t plan on going Fire Protection, my friend is signing for the job currently and going up to see a drill! Nice to see what she’s gonna be doing!

This Video makes me wanna be more of a morning person, but usually I get up like 20 minutes before I need to leave, take 30 minutes to get ready and then just zoom down the autobahn to the station going 200kph trying to beat the GPS. 😅

What kind of runs do yall typically run? For some reason in my mind other than medical there wouldn’t be many calls. What shift rotations do yall run 24 on 48 off?
We run pretty much everything but the volume is very low! Our typical runs are medical or structurals where we have to silence the smoke alarms. Wildlands pop off in the summer time! We do 48/48 rotations with 2 Kelly days a month
My typical day at a tac base was crash fire fighting always real busy, not a lot of time to think but that was back in 78 where we worked 24 on 24 off. Now they work 3 days on 3 days off
on a 4 yr planning to reclass from cyber, I'm able to apply for it after 2 yrs right? :')

What do you use to film?
You have to heat up the pan till its get hot enough before you put the egg in and it wont stick

That’s a great question for a recruiter! I’m not really sure the logistics of that.

It’s a Sunday and since we were hose testing outside for a while, our station went ahead and put our down gear on! The other guys ended up changing too!

Sure, not at the firehouse (depends though where you work whether they’d allow it or not). But like personally sure, I have a husband who takes care of my dog while I’m gone☺️
What happens if you get a run when you're on your run? That really delays response time if you're a couple miles away from the house!

Why would we be far enough to be delayed on a call, that’s irresponsible.

@@kirakphillips462 You are cooking with gass, you need low heat and always use oid in the pan. I was a DOD fire fighter for 17 1/2 years at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Kittery Maine. I was medicly retired after a arson fire on the USS MIAMI. Im living the life threw you now lol. I did a press confrence on national news and it scared the shit out of me give me a burning submarine or building any day over a cam HAHAHAHA. Be safe Kid.

Finished my Officer 1, Inspector 1, and Instructor certs as well as shadowing my crew chiefs before me! Still new to crewing and learning so much!
