This is my new updated guide for using permethrin for 2023.
I had another video that covered this topic, but it was recorded on my phone and the audio wasn't good. This video is an updated version with much clearer audio and some updated info!
If you have scabies, permethrin cream is going to be the first-line treatment that your doctor or dermatologist will give you. Unfortunately, most doctors do NOT give good instructions when prescribing permethrin. Many people complain permethrin doesn't work, but it's because they're not using it correctly.
When used properly, it is very effective!
Here's a quick summary of the biggest mistakes people use. However, if you have scabies and are about to use permethrin, I highly recommend watching the video in full so you fully understand.
Tip #1: Get it everywhere! You must use Permethrin everywhere from the chin down. That means in the armpits, around the groin, between the bum cheeks, soles of your feet, between you fingers and toes, in the bellybutton. Scabies can live anywhere on the skin so make sure you cover yourself fully.
Tip #2: Get it under your nails!
Super important. Most people miss this part which is a huge problem, because scabies are very often found under the nails. This is because with scabies you are always scratching so mites get caught under there, and this is how you spread them. Make sure you get Permethrin under your nails!
Tip #3: Leave it on for 8-12 hours
You must leave the cream on for 8 hours minimum. This is how long it needs to work. The easiest way to do this is to apply it before you go to bed, and then wash it off in the morning. Do not leave it on for more than 12 hours - Permethrin is an insecticide poison and not good for your skin.
Tip #4: Don't wash your hands!
Probably the most common reason Permethrin doesn't work. Once the cream is on, you cannot wash your hands (or any of your body) for at least 8 hours. People often go to the toilet and then wash their hands - OF COURSE it won't work if you do this. You're washing off all the treatment from your nails and between your fingers.
    Tip #5: Second application
Many people only apply it once, and some doctors even recommend this. This is not good advice. You need to apply Permethrin AT LEAST twice for it to work effectively. Do a second application 7 days after the first.
    Tip #6: Other treatments
Combining Permethrin with other treatments is something I did and it worked really well. Ivermectin is great and natural treatments are also very effective. I have more information about doing both of those linked below.

Im sorry im not buying any more of this. Between the two of us my girlfriend and I have spent over £700 over 7 months. 3 of the tiny tubes cost £50. We just feel completely alone and to suggest that we havent applied this properly is quite insulting tbh. I personally think that the medical community is out of touch, and more needs to be done.

Spray the scabies infected sore parts of your body with insect spray bought from supermarket . Massage it into skin. Leave on for 7 to 10 minutes and then wash off in shower with soap and water. You will notice instant relief. Repeat the next day and repeat five days later you will then be cured of scabies !!! I guarantee this works .
