This series is being really awesome! I am doing the microbiology discipline at university and the micro world has been fascinating with every discovery and deepening in studies. Sally congratulations!
So what are the results of the DNA sequencing? How many families/genuses when compared to other microbiomes? Diversity measures? It feels odd that the actual result of the whole effort is not mentioned.
Hi @laika licona! So glad you enjoyed! We'd love to do more episodes. In the meantime, if you're wanting more micro life, you should check out Dr. Warring's Instagram account @pondlife_pondlife.
I don't know how many hundreds of thousands of microbiological creature I am cooking, but if you are vegan... Not a chance eating some tardigrades... The most extrahordinary form of life. Thank you from my kitchen.
That was fascinating. I'll definitely look at moss differently from now on!

I love this. It's so easy to forget about the micro world that surrounds us. Thank you for reminding me.
That phone adaptor to view the field microscope is amazing. Does it come with that portable microscope?

I'm sure they're going to publish it. They have to protect their research until they do. Don't want to get scooped.
Super!!!
Thank you
