- The first and only complete "Two Step" during DMB's 2016 tour. They played the song 4 other times but all of those segued off during Carter's drum solo into Halloween. This version features the extended Stevie Wonder "Higher Ground" outro which DMB had only done 3 times prior (twice in Europe fall '15 and at Camden in 2013).

Have a dear friend that I shared so many great times with that included many concerts. This was the last 1 he ever attended. What a great memory that is for me... RIP Corey Carr. I will miss and love you forever my great friend!! ❤

Alpine Valley is the best place for a DMB show, period! Yes, I have seen them at the Gorge but Alpine is the best, hands down, and that is why they totally rocked this Two Step. This is coming from a girl whose first show was in 1996 and has not missed a year since. Thanks Chester!
I've only seen them once, and it was at Alpine 2019. Mind if I ask why it's the best? And why others try to say Gorge is? Not a big deal, just curious. Thank you.
Agreed. I say to everybody Alpine over Gorge SPAC etc. All of us stuffed on the steep hill is something you see nowhere else. :)

That outro was insane
About 8 minutes in, one of Carter Beauford's most fun and joyous solos (for me at least) kicks off.
This band! All masters of their individual crafts. Carter Beauford is a legend, hands down. I miss these guys so much this year. See you in 2018, boys!

I've been to every Alpine show, I've seen DMB 90 times, & Two Step live over 30 times. This one is top 3 of my live versions. I was right there up front between Jeff & RaShawn & Dave. Thanks for reliving this one Chester. I got the chills all over again watching this. All of your Vid's are TOP NOTCH!!! THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO! DMBJAMZ!!!

Second what the other person asked; two step is pretty much one of the only song of theirs I really like, the version off the central park album is my favourite personally

According to the Hub, I've seen this song live 62 times and it still GETS me! What band does this...let alone who plays drums anything like Carter Beauford???

I remember a show at Blossom Music Center 06 Two Step emcore and Dave SCReaming. CARTER BEAUFOT on the Druns over and over then tossing mic as CB went OFF like the Jedi he is!!!
Carter is a world of his own. But, I do play drums in a couple DMB tribute acts, so I understand his approach and techniques. Have lots of vids on my page 🙃
I was at this concert and losing my frickin mind. I’m probably 1000 of your views, I come back to this regularly. With three minutes left you hear the crowd going crazy thinking it’s over but the best part hadnt even come yet. I seriously wonder if Dave will ever top this for me live.

That could be the last Two Step played at Alpine. The best version I've ever seen and the video is great but doesn't do justice to being there. It was AWESOME!!!!!

I don’t think any live song gives me more bone shaking adrenaline rushing chills than two step. I beg for this song every concert in my head. And I will lose it if someone speaks during his improv intro. Warned a friend ahead of time to not and knowing so he did being a dick and I slugged him as hard as I could. Needless to say he didn’t speak a word rest of the song.

Agree, Luis. The Dave and Tim shows are good, but I've never been a fan of Tim's overpowering play in songs that don't need it. I much prefered their sound with Butch on the keyboards.
Yeah I really don't like anything Tim does on these songs. If he could just play minimally like he did on the record that would be great
