Thanks for stopping by, If you have time you can check out my new range of Eggs here www.etsy.com/shop/bensworx
I recently gave two of your Eggs as gifts. They are just as beautiful in person! I was super impressed at how quickly they shipped as well. A great review will be forthcoming.
Everyone of those projects are brilliant, what makes them really stand out is the finishing, on the lathe, polishing and you have the most unusual and interesting work. That was a good video, Thank you 👍
Thanks Alison 😊
It was really cool how the marshmallows turned out looking like a mushroom cloud. My favourite wasn't on your list, but was the Enterprise in a bottle, with the crack that ended up looking like it was intentional
Love the pot cam. The sheer amount of heat produced by the exothermic reaction of mass castings is impressive (and a bit scary).
Ben!!!!! #2 is actually my #1, of course! It's my most beloved treasure! ☺️It's still as beautiful today as in that excellent video! You are such an amazing artist! My most favorite artist!
I would be interested to see just what kind of temperatures that resin is getting up to. How about casting a thermometer in resin? Could be fun.
I love the second one, that color combo is one of my favorites and it was so sparkly!
Hi Ben! I love watching the pot-cam it’s so interesting & seeing the reaction to different materials! I actually had the Gob Stopper as my screensaver on my phone, I showed loads of people everyone thought it was a rock formation of some kind! (I’ve got them to subscribe to your channel) 🙂 I now have the Rubik’s cube one as my screen saver! Can’t wait till your next video! ♥️
Thanks Pamela, that’s awesome!! 😊
I watched this while my current project is in the pot and will link to it in my video!
My lovely wife got me one of your dragon eggs for Christmas last year because of how much I watch this channel. It's beautiful. I love how it plays with light. It's my favorite thing on my favorite things shelf. 😁
Thankyou! I really appreciate your support 😊
I love pot cam! My fav ever was the giant gob stopper! That was not only cool to watch it looked amazing at the end. I expected it to melt but the burn made it look like marshmallow!
Love me some great Potcam footage! Good memories of great projects. 💖💖💖💖
Thanks Connie 😊
Good memories. I love the ones with glitter. Pot cam shows the glitter moving like a snow globe. Captivating.
Great walk down potcam memory lane!
Thanks Margaret 😊
What an awesome walk down memory lane 🥰
All of those are really cool! It's really interesting watch what happens as each cures. I think my favorite is the crayon light. I really love that one!
10:09 looks like it’s flying in spaces and the stars are moving. Cool!
I love this compilation, Ben! Hearing your take on pot cam is always fun and this was also a fun one for me because I got to see some projects I don’t remember seeing the video of before.
The fact that you can turn anything into art just blows my mind. So much talent and skill, thank you for letting us into your world of creative work and talent!
I 100% remember the first potcam it was so awesome to see what happens!! I was bummed the "wings" melted a bit but I still feel it was a 100% success, so amazing!
Pot cam is one of the best ideas ever! Heidi
I remember all of these.... and enjoyed the re-watch!
Nice video, Ben! All five are real masterpieces! I want to try this myself but I have a few questions. First, when do you use vacuum and when do you use pressure? Vacuum removes the air bubbles and pressure just compresses them? Why do you seem to prefer pressure? Thanks!
I'd be interested in seeing if you could get some cool optical effects by adding small amounts of powdered mica, rutile, or even ordinary glitter flakes to resin, then applying a slight constant twisting force while it sets. For example, if there was a flat plate touching the top surface of resin in a container, and something was gently twisting that relative to the container. The result I'd expect would be that the flat plates of the powdered mica or glitter flakes, or the needles of rutile, would be aligned with the twist direction. After the resin was polished up, there would be internal reflection or refraction of directional light, as one gets with semi-precious stones such as tiger-eye and minerals which show asterism.
Always love seeing the top projects - great potcam top 5!
Thanks Linda 😊
I love all these projects, especially #2. I couldn't tell what it was you made from it, but I loved the shape.
I've seen Potcam many, many times, Ben, and it's always interesting to see what happens especially due to the temperature and/or pressure inside.
Bill
Well that was wonderfully relaxing, thanks Ben.
These are so fun to see again. I love the marshmallows because they changed so much, and the ribbon of resin is beautiful.
Those were all great! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Mel 😊
These are so fascinating to watch. The marshmallow did exactly what I expected but the others were all amazing surprises.
Thanks Mate
Loved seeing these projects again 😍
That was a great review of pot-cam videos and they were all so cool to watch like that.
I think you should try the crayon one with bigger chunks of crayons. Like, dice them :)
Each of these is so cool to watch and see the full effect of what happened to each one back to back like this. It is hard to pick ONE as a favorite!
loved it , i just started woodturning you gave me ideas my head is spinning
I liked the Marshmallow one! It turned into a volcano! My brain immediately wondered if you did that one again? If you used a stick with a thin disk about the diameter of the marshmallow to act like a "catch" or maybe even a couple to sort of create a "billowing" effect. Maybe colored resin discs to create the illusion of fire or black smoke...
My brain sees that (if it worked) as an awesome egg, or perhaps even light! Maybe glue some glass fibers up the center post to each disk to light them up...
I thoroughly enjoy your videos, and this summary was especially good. Thanks, Ben!
It is all wonderful work, Ben. I wait for each video each week and enjoy your work very much. #2 is my favorite though. Beautiful.
Always fun to watch. Love it ❤️
I just wanna say thank you for making videos. Because of all these cool projects you do, I started doing some resin projects at home. I'm not very good at it and I've had to scrap some stuff, but it's been really fun! My favorite projects I've done so far is casting my pressed flowers in resin!
That is some of my top favorite moments from your videos
Absolutely fascinating! Loved watching the differing reactions that were happening. Another great video!
This was brilliant and really interesting- thanks Ben ❣
I did enjoy this episode, thank you. 😊
These were all amazing! But my fav was number 5, it looked like a nuke went off!!!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Pretty cool ben! thank you for sharing!
Awesome Video Ben worx hope you Nicole and your son Jake are well
Thanks Richard 😊
I loved this one!!
Awesome video really enjoyed watching so many of the pot cam videos
Cool!!, i always had asked me what happened inside 😁, thanks for showing it 👍🏽😊
Wow! Your such an amazing artist!!!
Definitely some of the coolest videos. Potcam has become an awesome feature of the channel.
Thanks Mark 😊
This was fun and brought back some great memories. Thanks Ben! 💕
Thanks Tami 😊
I love them all. Very beautiful
Brilliant video mate the piece’s are fabulous
This was a cool episode. It was like walking down memory lane. I completely forgot about the marshmallow one I got to relive the moment all over again.
Thanks Aaron 😊
Pot Cam rules!!!
Hope you're feeling better Ben!!!!
Thanks Maurice, I’m nearly fully recovered 😊
Hey Ben
Great choices to showcase.
Take care🙂
At 2:11 the marshmallows looked like a mushroom cloud. Amazing
loved seeing these again, the crayons made me think you could do fruity cereal in resin as an experiment
Hi Ben, I love your channel!
Thankyou 😊
Really enjoy your art work, you are one of the few that I hit the notification bell to be notified when you post a new video. I’d really like to see your version of the arkenstone from the Hobbit sometime
Thoroughly enjoyed as always, your creativity knows no bounds, I just wish I was so talented- well done 👍🏼🦆💕
Thanks Pam 😊
FIVE STARS,,, thanks for posting :)
Per usual, this is an awesome video! I love your content and always watch your videos right when they come out. Keep up the amazing content Ben!
Thanks George 😊
You're welcome!
4:29 do that again but this time either mix it in its own central column that you remove before pressure potting, or put it all in before pouring the resin and just leave it how it end up with no stiring.
That was amazing
So cool!!!
Awesome thanks
I've been wondering about this!
with the tie fighter, i remember the episode where the acryl rod explode
i wonder, when you put several rods side by side and let it cure, what effect that could be
i imagine some sort of lightning strokes
or maybe something total unexpected :D
The movement of the resin while curing got me curious. 🧐 What about doing a layered pour. With each layer only being maybe 2cm, and you drop 3 or 4 drops of colour in each layer and let the natural motion of each hardening resin layer swirl the colour itself?
Yeah that would be cool
2:20 Well, that went nuclear 😁
O.O looks like a mushroom cloud! Omg!
I think my fav was the kid in the mine. I don't remember what color glitter you used to make a part look like an ore vein. But it came out gold. Was almost too perfect an accident. Curious as to what made it change. The heat or refraction from being in the resin.
I was hoping for more of the color to come out of the jaw breaker but wow it melting like that I had not expected.
They really don't make Tie fighters like they used to, that one warped. 😆👍
The marshmallow one looked like a nuclear explosion. 🤣
Great Pot cam footage and it got me thinking can your form a whirlpool in resins and keep it till it hardens like by spinning the resin in a mould really fast and the other idea was could you freeze resin whilst it's liquid and then would it set.
There is going to be some disappointed people searching pot and cam. Lmao.
😂
I would have loved to see the Star Trek Enterprise again, getting hit by the warp rift in Resin
It was cool seeing some highlights from older videos. I think that first potcam was one of the first times you used that sphere tool after you messed your wrist up making too many spheres freehand wasn't it?
One of the best potcam videos I have seen. What do you use for the camera in there? I would have expected a gopro or similar, but did not expect them to handle 3-4 atmospheres repeatedly.
I like the ones like this
Thankyou 😊
Does all the resin get warm? Love what your doing Ben! 😁🐾🤓
How come the plastic containers don't melt if the resin gets so hot? Have you had an epic fail with your containers? What about the toys inside your creations....have they ever melted? My favorite was the leftover resin ribbons.
🤔
Some plastic will. But some plastics can tolerate heat.
The melting point of those containers is way higher than the temps the resin reaches. It won't even melt the little plastic 3oz bathroom cups unless you start with resin that was already heated before it was mixed (don't ask how I know).
Is there any chance you could try making resin dice? Even if it's just a d20 and d6.
That was cool when it comes to the marshmallows turning into a mushroom cloud ☁️. Be back to comment on the rest. FROM: Mary Kimble
I always lovd PotCam. Do U Still Hav Da Marshmallows And Da Jawbreaker If So Can I get Dem STAY SAFE AND STAY BLESSED YALL 1 Lov
Nice
I've always wondered why people who work in resin don't put a sort of resin cap on the top of what will be the blank. I feel like it would be a good way to keep everything from getting out, just in case.
I can’t help but think that a man with an amazing brain, fantasy and artistic skills is so sexy! I have never looked at men for their muscles or body or face, because that changes so much over time, but someone that you can bounce ideas off, fantasize with, learn from, have fun with…that’s the things good relationship are made of! Ben, you have a brilliant mind, and I hope you have that special one in your life that appreciates it!
Thankyou! I certainly do
Awesome content as usual! Question. Are the POTCAM graphics built into the camera, or do you add those in post?
What video has the original iridescent blue and purple resin? The colors in the scrap project are gorgeous!
I wonder Ben, does the increase in pressure just reduce the size of the micro-bubbles in the resin? And does this mean when it cures there's a natural pressure throughout when it's out of the pot? How much does having those tiny bubbles in the fluid effect its clarity?
great video, what do you use for a pot camera?
Well the rest was OK 👍🏻 👌.
If you did that to my crayons, I would cry!
