Because a lot of people were asking me for Jawa and Jawa42 comparison review video, I have made a video that talks about Jawa vs Jawa 42 review.
In short, the conclusion was: Jawa classic has a comparatively relaxed sitting posture. Other differences were...
1) Jawa classic has more chrome work on it than Jawa 42.
2) Jawa classic has a different instrumental cluster (Speedometer) and a slightly bigger front-mudguard.
3) Jawa classic is slightly expensive than Jawa 42.
Other than a bit of aesthetics and price difference, both the bikes are absolutely the same. In terms of technical specifications, there are no differences at all.

@@chayan1n1 the engine is bigger so it generate some heat no doubt. its not that high as the fan starts and cool down engine/liquid radiator. You do feel it if you are driving in your shorts.

I have bought a new jawa 42 just over 2 weeks.. I did test drive both the 42 and classic and also the new meteor from RE. I felt 42 and classic are excellent for city use (better than royal Enfield) and highway as well. Both have solid pick up (same engine and displacement), have increased the cushion size for both front and pillion. The bike (42) is really amazing, definitely eye catching and ppl do take a peek at it when it is at a halt. And I was commented by few ppl that it is a really nice looking bike. Good thing is that now we have tough competition for enfield with just 3 jawa bikes (perak). Enfields are good on the highway and so are jawas. But daily city commute are smoother on the jawas is what I feel personally. Also I feel jawa 42 design can handle a 650 cc engine from the interceptor if customised to it.. Anything else ppl can add on to this comment!!!
How was the response of ceremic coating from detailing devil's. Is it worth 10 k and how long it will stick on bike paint.

aapne Jawa 42 k DB killers ko modify krwakr maximum loud settings pe rkha tha na..to uska sound kya Roy Enfield ke after market exhausts ke jesa hai..ya nahi ye utna thump nhi dega.??
P.S i know you told about the mileage that it reduces mileage..but that's fjne with me..if the exhaust will have that loud thump as an after market exhaust..not too irritating..but head turner.

I booked jawa 42 on 22 jan @ tilak nagar showroom delhi on that time they promised to give bike on may and july. But still they don't provide the bike. Now they say bike will be provide in october.

Can't say bro. Jawa is certainly taking a bit too long when it comes to delivering the bikes. Just keep in touch with your local dealership.
I have booked J42 but I will change the handlebar and will install the classic handle.
A small suggestion, just get the handlebar of jawa classic painted black before installing because chrome handlebar will not compliment the overall aesthetics of jawa 42. Peace out ✌️
I doubt if they are interchangeable. The showroom had informed me that they are not.

It's a paid accessory bro. There was some confusion in the beginning. But eventually it turned out to be a paid accessory

Seat is a little small, but two slim people should be comfortable... Fat ones won't be 😅

In jawa classic as well I face fuel gauge issues ,I have added cushioning to the seat ..while the only major problem I m facing is low ground clearance ,on sharp turns and breakers it's stand rubs and Sparks while I have brought this to the jawa engineer notice as well ,wanted to know if u have still not faced this issue though u have ridden so much..
I have taken sharp turns while touring in Uttarakhand, I didn't face that issue. Check my Uttarakhand series.

I bought 42 nebula blue on 10th dec dual disc.. unfortunately got accident and return to showroom on 18th dec...they will take 1 month for repair...😢
Me too was confused between two siblings..had 4 separate rides on both in city and highway only because of handlebar..also i was told in the showroom that Classic's handlebar can be fitted to 42..but they are not sure..now everything seems to be crystal clear..thanks💯

A pleasure to "meet" Mr. Dhiraj. Loved that shaayari (one of my own hobbies - writing poetry and shaayari). It was really nice of the gentleman to take time off and participate in the video. Much appreciated.
Between the Jawa Classic and the Jawa 42, I most certainly prefer the Jawa 42. Engine and specs wise both of the motorbikes may be identical but I personally think that looks wise the Jawa 42
wins by a wide margin. Initially I wasn't sure about the colour but after booking the Comet Red Jawa 42, I have actually sold my old car and bought one with the same colour combination of red and black! (No kidding!).
I think the 42's "non-chrome" (fuel tank) look makes a lot of difference. It's unfortunate that apart from the delayed delivery time, the accessories too have a waiting period!
Overall, I think it's a great motorbike. The final deal sealer would be faster delivery of the motorbike & accessories, and the after sales service - if Classic Legends can manage this, the we have a big winner in the Jawas!

@@dheerajjagga thank you for your reply, brother. Much appreciated. Unfortunately, the Jawa deliveries according to the company, have been further delayed. I might get my 42 only by December (I just hope they don't ban fossil fuels by then! 😉😁).
I plan to keep the motorbike in the showroom condition for about a year and then look at Scrambler like modifications. It's a beautiful motorbike and I am waiting rather eagerly for its arrival.
Again, it was very nice to see someone apart from Dev giving a factual explanation and description of the machine. It was a very detailed, analytical and unbiased way of presenting. I really loved the video. Thank you (and of course, Dev) for making it and sharing it!

Dev I saw jawa classic in white colour which was auctioned on December 2018 with their name on golden letters on fuel tank cap and hand paint of our 🇮🇳 flag on tank of both side and he paid around 40 lacs for it. Isse kehte hai classic wala feeling... Just waiting for my classic in white with dual channel abs....

Jawa came to India as imported bike, later Govt mandated Indian partnerships so it became ideal jawa Ltd, finally Yazidi bought jawa manufacturing rights and sold bike under yezdi name, currently Mahindra is using Jawa brand name with no partnerships in technical or manufacturing, its kind of just selling emotions under old name which was legendary in it's time.
