Good lord, how can I be so stupid. Let's blame the camera and not me. It was Celcius. Wherever I mentioned Fahrenheit, I meant Celsius. "When coolant temperature hits 115 degree Celsius. When coolant temperature hits 120 degree Celsius"... And so so on!
Apologies for poor physics. And apologies for poor video skills. I was never good at either of them 😅😅😅

I was about to mention that!!! 120F is like Luke warm.... 😂😂
But still few doubts raised in my mind (after I took a test drive of the bike which was perhaps driven for entire day with enthusiasts like me):
      1. Why a radiator cooled for a 'small' engine? So definitely, they have heating problems... Jawa Couldn't provide effective air cooling as required...
      2. Lowering the rpm upon cutoff temperature means that it would lower the heat dissipation too... How can this be a solution?
      3. What's your personal experience?! Jawa is supposed to run for entire day without losing steam.... Does it adhere to it?!

Dev Ji! Your video was based more on the engine heat management, the engine is not a JAWA engine and not designed and engineered by JAWA Czechoslovakia, like any one will tell you it's a MOJO engine shaped externally like a JAWA 250. Now about the Engine, the MOJO has a liquid cool radiator mounted HIGH above the Engine, The JAWA engine is also having the same ports to take in and out the coolant while in circulation, the only difference is the over all length and width of the front radiator, it is blocking the fresh air draft around the engine, the heat dissipation fins on the engine block and head are trying to dissipate heat but there is no air flow around it. All big bore engines have a over heat sensor just behind the engine, that triggers safety and performance, I am not sure RE 350/500 have this kind of Engine heat sensor.

    • @omchatterjee506

  • @TheRoamingDelhiite
    @TheRoamingDelhiite Před 5 lety +16

In Mojo, it's pretty clear. The moment your bike overheats, the RPM automatically gets restricted at 5k rpm which is a smart thing, which a lot owners don't even know or remember...same thing is implemented in Jawa..don't worry about the heating...make sure that you check the coolant level once in a fortnight.... informative video 👍🏻

Hey Dev bro .. a little correction in the video 2:10 par u said ki coolant is to be filled via radiator cap but in reality the coolant tank is below the radiator on the right side. u have to remove the right side cover of the radiator (only 2 screws there) and then down u will see a round black cap. that is the radiator tank and u have to use a funnel with a long pipe to fill the coolant as the placement of the exhaust and leg guard will not allow refilling of coolant via the bottle. hope this helps. i did this with my 42.

My main concern is to revisit the issue of heating with considering the riders position. As the engine is dangerously near to the right foot peg of the bike... And rider wearing chappals will surely burn his legs... And 98C is too much to handle... Can you ride for a while and measure the temperature of the cylinder at the right foot peg? Anything above 50°C is dangerous for the rider...

Heat dissipation is not taking place either in the cylinder ir at the radiator to maintain the L.O temperature through out the system.
Which can cause wear of cylinder liner, breakage of piston rings and requent change of engine oil...
I don’t understand, after first service it will give better performance.

    Hello Mr Dev,
Many users are facing these below issues:
    1. The fuel gauge is not able to tell accurately how much fuel is in the bike.
    2. The bike touches the road breaker below and if two people are sitting then there is more problem.
    3. The fan of the radiator keeps on running even after stopping the bike, I know that to cool the bike but the battery is being discharged from it.
    4. Some people have a problem that the colour of the bike's handwork is starting to come out after some time.
    5. Many people have uploaded pictures on the official page of Java on Facebook, which is the issue of rust. There is too much in anyone, especially on the disc brake and many small.
Right now the question is arising that Java which has kept a different identity in the market for a long time, and now these 3 types of models have got more popularity among people.
So is the company taking some concrete steps towards these problems or not? Because if someone is giving almost 2 lakh rupees, then he should also think that it is worth.
The people of the dealership are saying that these are prototypes right now, when the production starts, the whole problem will be solved. But how do we know that what I am going to get is a prototype or fresh production?
And whether Java is going to give a solution to these problems, people who have already taken it.

Ok first things first , at 98 deg Cel. the radiator starts working ? How’s that possible ? I guess u are speaking about the thermostatic fan.
Above 120 deg Cel the engine rpm is restricted to 4K revs per min ? It means 40 kmph ?
Bro that depends which gear you are ! You are making a video to ‘educate’ people and you are converting rpm to speed, how ?
In 6th gear you can cruise very well around 60-70 kmph in well below 4K rpm ! If you want I can shoot a clip & post !
When I took the test ride for the 42 never felt the heating thing but anyways the ride was like 5 min, that’s what our local Jawa dealership allows ! Also don’t completely trust the dealership cause they might feed you with wrong information. I asked the sales guy that why was the kick missing & his reply was, because it’s an FI engine ! Moreover when I asked what has FI to do with kicks, his answer was, “Car mein kick dekha hai Kya ?”
So as per him my T bird is not FI cause she has a kick ! God save me from this kind of dealers !
