Loved the start-up sound on this machine, brings back so many good memories. You also popped in what may be my favorite game for the system. Some close contenders, for me at least, were the Resident Evil games and the original Medal of Honor. Thanks for sharing this, now I feel the need to set one of mine back up and play next Friday and Saturday nights!

I remeber in the late 90s going to my cousins house in brisbane Australia and playing all the demo disks for the playstation. One game was not a demo and called 666. It was a racing game where you could go off road. That and Siphon Filter and later in the early 2000s playing my friends toy story 2 game on the ps1 where the greatest memories.
I think the most nostalgic part of this is the horrific screeching of a CRT in a quiet room and how it effectively drives me mad. Well, that's for me atleast.

Actually the first DVD player was made in November 1996 by Toshiba then the first dvds be sold in the US were by Sony April 1997 but yes the silver CRT combo didn't exist in the 90s that was a 2000s thing
sh1 is the best horror game ever. scariest by far. i dont know why pp prefer 2 a lot. 2 is amazing but is the least scary of all first four silent hill games
