Wait 'till he learns about costumization,cheapper apps,the ability to download everything u want(is not that secured but if u're a pro user,u shouldn't have a problem) and don't even get me started on good lock. The only disagreement I have with your clip is the thickness complaint. They're headed in the right direction however they're going to keep sacrificing bigger batteries if we keep complaining about size.
So size does matter 😂😂😂.
The reason it’s stated is because people keep saying “it has a smaller footprint” because it folds. But it becomes twice as thick so the footprint is the same. Pair that with the crease and it’s not worth the price.

Got the flip5 for 2 days now. It was kind of an impulsive buy unlike my other tech purchases which takes me around 2 months of research to make a commitment lol. Been following samsung's flip journey from start tho. I love my phone and its so fun to use too. The crease is not that noticeable during normal use. I love everything a about the phone 📱.

Pretty sure the crease is noticeable. I have seen such examples at Costco. You are a Samsung fan. That's why you said everything is good.
For the one handed mode you can move down your swipe sensor bar and adjust it to any height.

USB is the latest 3.1 or 3.2 btw, not 2.0. The reason it doesn't support Dex is because Dex generates a lot of heat that this phone is not equipped to dissipate in this form factor.

I just got this phone a couple of days ago and so far it's the best phone I've owned. The proce range definitely makes sense once you learn all the cool things it does. The camera and the effects are really cool.

the phone is really heavy when closed, and the screen is very narrow it is not wide enough, flip phone still need alot of work, they have not been perfected yet
I also don't like narrow phones! My mate 20 pro was also very narrow like every edge display! (Never heard someone say the same as I always!)

This is why i want the z flip 5.
The only reason I’m holding off on the Z Flip is DeX. My last Samsung phone was a Note 8 and I used DeX every single day as my sole computer/fire stick/retro games console.
Maybe I’ll just have to fold and get a Z Fold, if I see a good deal

Looking forward to the day when they make a phone that you can fold into quarters and as thick as cardboard. I can imagine it could get as big as the fold when open fully, in halves as big as a regular phone and fully collapsed as big as the flip but thickness would almost be halved.

I don't know why people keep complaining about the crease. I've had several of these phones and the grease isn't a big deal. Reviewers need to get over it.

The camera is good in its own way, idk not fully flat not fully processed either. Would've been better to have telephoto though, but maybe the battery will suck

how's the battery life?
Made the switch from Z Flip 3 last week. The Z Flip 5 fixed every single gripe I had with the 3, and FINALLY AN ALL-DAY BATTERY.
Near perfect phone. Once they refine the screen crease, it will be. BUT I never notice it anymore, and haven't for years, so not really even a drawback for me!

All the samsungs sd 8gen2 are know to last longer.
My s23 beats s22 ultra in battery so obviously flip 5 also should.
I think it's you who haven't used it. I've been using the Flip 2-5.
If they use a new chipset for the Flip 5 that uses less batteries, but introduce a larger screen on the outside as well as a number of new features, the battery drain will outpace the battery life improvement.@@shakespeareinthepark1628
I know it's already has a screen protector but im still wondering if you can use a second screen protector on the first one? because to me, if you cant take off the first screen protector then its the main screen and it definitely needs protection

What does the tall aspect ratio have to do with the width of the phone? The phone is the same width as my s23, just tall as hell. And, quite frankly it's not thick enough, put mo-battery in!

Battery life ??? Wasted my 30sec watching this
The battery seems like it’s really bad . Worse than my iPhone 11 . Played two songs on the flip 5 on 100% drove 20 minutes home & it’s down 12% . Maybe it wasn’t 100% charged as it said it was so it’s charging again on the Samsung 45W charger
Did the charging get any better? I want to switch to flip 5, but I'm doubting the battery life. my Samsung a21 lasts 2 days and prefer at least a phone that lasts a day
@@Fleurig-xr5mm I did another test run on ; I stayed home turned GPS off as indicated by store phone rep saying GPS drains battery quickly. I played about three movies lasting somewhere in the 7 hour mark from 100% to fully dead battery full brightness & full volume. The battery saver setting was not switch on & the phone was on 5G not 4G along with the phone not being on Wi-Fi as most other testing videos are ; so with these being switched it should probably last even longer . I wanted to test it as if I did not have Wi-Fi to figure how fast this phone really is. Which is that it’s way faster downloading apps & showing better picture quality that iPhone 11 only down fall is that surprisingly it’s not as visible in direct sunlight side by side to iPhone 11 . What gives the Flip side some make up for that disadvantage is that the screen can fold on itself making the screen more visible in its own shadow . Which is surprising as I read Samsung makes iPhones screens; I would think it would be the same if not better for their own products. The phone also got extremely hot sitting in the front car passenger seat with AC on yet sitting in sunlight made the phone so hot it was slightly uncomfortable to hold .

For the bad.. is a regular phone formfactor,maybe a bid narower but not as bad as the fold 5 and u have the ability to swipe down on the bottom of your screen to activate 1 hand usage. I hate that it doesn't support dex but is probabily bc of cooling ishues that could acure bc of the formfactor,still too bad.. and the camera,is a good camera,better that midrangers,worse than flagships,is good enough for most peoples
im waiting for some + or ultra version that would have better camera n battery so i would actually get to upgrade my phone for that kind of money n not the opposite...

My Flip 5 loses 9-10% battery overnight while in battery saving mode and sleep mode. Any tips to solve this? In the beginning it was 4-5%

I let my s24 ultra stay at 30-80 battery life often also at 40-60 battery life. It is better for the battery. Also, I close every app that I don't use at the time (if someone goes out of a app it stays active in the background)
At the internet you can look up more tricks for a good battery life. ☺️🙂
Also don't let the battery heat up to much! It for example heats up when you play a game/ use it while charging or when you are in the shower and the phone is in the bathroom!

the crease is a very big deal for me, i thought by the 5th gen the crease would be significantly improved. its still looks very visible.
I'm loving the phone. Crease is hardly noticeable. I do find the battery drains faster than my s20fe. Also notice when i use car charging it gets pretty warm. I use the charging cord that came with the phone and my car is only 1 yr old. I also bought a cigarette charger that was recommended- for work car. Anyone else find this?

I think that I've been using it more than my last 20fe. Just with customizing it etc. I have a routine at night to go to gray screen at 11 till 6am that helps. I heard a You Tubber say that using the cover screen uses less battery, Haven't tried that to see. The phone is just so fun you can't help using it all the time and that will appear as faster battery drain. This is a new learning curve for sure. Trial and error. Let me know if you learn anything new.

@@BaraBrahmantika I love the fact that I can close it and toss it in my pocket. A bit of learning curve, NFC is located on the bottom of phone compared to top of 20fe. That was a mess with my banking card. I know many have said that the camera isn't as good but I've been experimenting with different features and its just fine. Ok no super zoom. Pics are crystal clear. Videos clear. As far as battery, again played around with settings and getting better battery life than at first. It has adaptive battery feature. The main screen is so crystal clear and colours are brilliant. Cover screen is great for quick things and info. Sound quality is terrific. The customizations are incredible. I'm not a fan of the actual cost from my provider. I should have utilized the trade-in option on Samsung Canada website. Would have been better price now that I look back. I will either keep the phone or move up to Flip 6? I think its a great phone and worth it

This phone not has USB 2.0 ... this have USB 3.2, and has DP output in the port, soooo, for dex only depend on software.

You may have an issue with tight pants but i can finally put my phone in my smaller purses. A slab phone I often have to stretch my handbag (i hate doing that) or hold my phone. Ill deal with the bulge for the more compact size

Outer screen doesn't do anything more than the one on the Flip 4. It's there to make the phone more fragile and drain the battery faster.
