    A couple thoughts:
    - A tutorial video on using the discord server for those less tech savvy
    - A discussion on the “Why” behind the EDC, the personal philosophies
    - bring on some guests to interview from time to time from the community
    - How much is too much in the EDC world? Who carries a grappling hook?
    - What are three most frequent or recurring uses for EDC gear?

I get that the channel is for everyone buuuuuuut..,... Can't help but feel it's more for the folk who just want to show off

Idea pitch.... "My month with" 10 part series for the year where you exclusively commit to a piece of gear for a month and do some blog style bits each time you use/can't use that specific item, real life scenarios where gear prospers/falls down compared to other alternatives. Collect all those together and give thoughts after a month... Things you could include...
    Pencil
    Budget flashlight
    Fixed blade
Hopefully this doesn't tie you up to a certain carry for too long (gives you ability to still carry new/other gear throughout the year) but still gives us an idea of these alternatives and what they're really like to carry...
    Pitch over

I've seen a lot of watch comments as far as budget, I can tell you me and my son's have been using the Timex Expedition series and we are very pleased with them. They range from $45USD up to $75USD. I use the Field Chronograph. It's the one that costs $75 and I couldn't be happier with a budget watch. It has a genuine leather strap, runs on quartz, stainless steel back, analog face with 24hr time with numerical day, stop watch with Tachymeter, INDIGLO and a water resistance of 100m. My kids use the Acadia and Scout which are basically the same exact watch other than the face color of the Acadia is OD Green and the Scout comes in a range of color and strap materials. They absolutely love them and it was an easy way to teach them 24hr time because the large number on the dial has the corresponding hour number in a smaller font right in front of it. For example on the Scout, on the face where it says 1, there is a smaller 13 right in front of it. So they know when I say it's 1320 they can look down and see it's 1:20pm and visually associate it with 1320. Anyway you can get up to 4 watches of different colors and materials for under $200USD which is a fraction of what some people spend on a single watch that preforms all of the same functions. As far as durability goes, I wore the $45 scout every day for a year and swam with it on and it's still ticking away. Really as far as an EDC watch that's affordable and won't take a dump on you after one day of outdoor work or bushcraft, these really take the cake.

Here are a couple things I think may be fun to see:
An all USA-made carry. Several elements would have a ton of options, knife and multitool would be a cinch. But it may be interesting to explore other options for watch, light, pen, etc. and then compare the utility and convenience after a week or two.
Then I think you should carry all brass or all copper for a month. See how the weight might change things day to day, and then do a before and after of the patina.

  • @dayontapout

I don't have a massive budget so I mainly carried:
    Wallet- Elkster black leather
    Flashlight- Streamlight Wedge
Money clip- SOG Ultra XR in carbon fiber and gold
    Medical ankle kit
Pens- Olight O Pen mini and Olight O Pen 2
    Prybar- Olight O Pry
Knives- Doug Ritter Hogue and Doug Ritter Hogue mini(both in purple gmascus, Hogue Sig K320 partially serrated, Benchmade Bugout in m390, Spyderco YoJimbo2, Spyderco Manix, Hogue Deka in Magnacut and Benchmade Griptilian for work.
Dor the record I'm not a big fan of Olight lights but their other products besides the knives. I have no desire to try those. But thier other stuff like pens and other EDC equipment seem to be fairly solid. As far as the knives I feel like Hogue doesn't get near the shine that they should. Extremely good quality and some of the best fit and finish at almost any price that I've tried. That and thier factory edge, for the most part, have been the best I've tried with almost a mirror finish right out of the box. Thier 20CV is outstanding as well.

I think the prolonged carry of a fixed blade or automatic could be cool, but I would suggest opening up the range for stuff like 30 days with only a traditional or a balisong or even just the TPT slide. Seeing how small or big of a knife you could carry to still get everything done without much inconvenience could be a fun experiment. Also, for more variety from just gear, how about more everyday clothing essentials? Regardless of what you do, thanks for all of the content this year, Jeep. Keep it up and enjoy your time away in January with your family.

I love EDC gear but I spend all my money on hiking gear and whiskey. When I find something I like with EDC I stick with it. The only two recent purchases that I've added in permanent rotation are the USG pen and ACEBEAM flashlight. The ACEBEAM is the best basic pen light I've tried in the last 2 years. After adopting a dog I realized I needed to carry a light at night on every walk if I wanted to find his poop or avoid mud. The small inexpensive AAA-sized lights couldn't cut it and the S2R Baton II is too bulky when wearing shorts or sweatpants. After purchasing a couple dozen lights from various companies, I returned them all when I settled on a favorite. The others are mostly self-explanatory. Multi-tools are simply less threatening at work or in public, plus I use the Victorinox scissors more than any other implement on my multi-tools.
    In my pants pocket:
Victorinox Pioneer X with KeySmart Nano Clip
    ACEBEAM PT10GT Pen Light
    Urban Ultralight Butterfly Wallet
Urban Survival Gear TiScribe Bolt v3.0
    Samsung Galaxy S21
    On my generic keychain:
    Duke bottle opener
    Victorinox Rambler
    Olight i1R 2 EOS
The only things that are sometimes in rotation depending on if I'm at work or home:
    Victorinox Climber
    Leatherman Charge +
    Ferrum Forge Stinger
    Olight S2R Baton II
    Massdrop Blue Titanium AAA Flashlight
    Nitecore NU25

Great to see what gear you've been liking the most. You ask what I would like to see next year? Well your idea of a budget carry would be great, maybe a whole carry under 100/150 for like a month and your thoughts? I'd also like to see some more mod videos, I'm a big fan of not leaving things alone and love to see other people's ideas and process when it comes to mods. I'd also really like to see more stuff non knife related, things like coffee and the gear you love to use around this. Maybe some belt recommendations or boots? And lastly I think cheaper options for all your videos is always a win, not everyone has 500 to spend on a light or a pen (myself included) so maybe when you mention this amazing but of kit that costs loads you could also make a budget recommendations that's the best in that price range? Live your videos and always glad to see when you post.

That is some great ‘grail’ gear right there. Glad to hear you’ve had such an all-round great year. As a suggestion, I think that every other month you should divert back to a rotation where each item is $150 or under. I think it’s important that you make content for most people that is attainable for most working-class folk. I think it would be interesting to see a video every other month that is attainable to those on a fairly low income as the majority of your following, that would be the case. Anyway, always enjoy your content. Wishing you a great new year and looking forward to the new content!

1 month where everything in your pocket or on your wrist, each item is no more than $50. Similar to the $200 at Amazon type processes you've done, but instead of trying to bend budget to maximize everything have a budget for each piece and then actually have to live with the stuff. Good video Taylor. Your lighting, sound, vid quality ? SSSSLAMMIN solid !!!
What I'd like to see for next year, though you probably won't do it since you're too used to carrying top drawer hardware, is more feasibly realistic EDC, ie "more affordable". Because you were spot on when you said not everybody carries a $500 flashlight. I sure ASF don't. Even if I could afford it, I wouldn't use it for work. I drive tractor trailer and would not carry a $500 flashlight with me. To me, it makes as much sense as using a $25,000 Cannondale as a daily biker to work.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not ragging on ya. I just think it would appeal to a larger crowd. . . people like me that can afford a $150 flashlight, but NOT a $500 titanium one. Call me a Low-pro EDC guy but hey, my wallet canNOT handle a $2500 sports watch, a $265 zirconium pen, a $500 flashlight, or a $85 box cutter. And just so you know, I'm a HUUUGE fan of "You get what you pay for" kinda guy. But I'm also a "I would love to get a $500 flashlight, but a $150 FENIX UC35 will do me just fine" kinda guy when it comes to reality. So it would just be nice to see some videos on realistic EDC that regular guys with a low end $40k/year salary could afford to carry.
Keep up your great videos and don't stop using your closeout monologue signature "and without further a due, let's do the damn thing"

Honest question, I own multiple titanium Reylights. They work wonders, feel fantastic, and are a real bang for $60. What is the justification for buying an Okluma or Arcadian that is essentially the "same thing"(a titanium flashlight)? Yes, I know one is American made, but is there any substantial difference to justify such a high price tag?

Love this video. I wish a guy could make a “most carried” vid more than once a year haha. Don’t stop making Gucci gear videos because we love $500 edc flash lights even if I personally don’t see myself buying one… I still want to see what’s the best of the best because it’s awesome. I would challenge you to start with $100 in January and for the whole year, only spend $100 a month on gear and try to carry it as much as you can. Keys, wallet, knife, phone case, pen, hank etc. there is plenty of best bang for buck EDC videos like zebra F-701 type stuff. Guys like me are comfortable spending about $100 a month or so and might save from one to the next. I currently have about $315 in edc gear on me religiously everyday. Then I have a sick back pack and more edc stuff in there. All in all I have between $500-$700 worth of stuff with me at all times. I have purchased this stuff over the last several years a little at a time. I’d like to see you do something similar with your own taste and reasons and see what you come up with. Keep doing you and the views will be there

This is unrelated to your video, but I did watch all of it! I have a question: do you know of any knives that are very similar to the Gerber kettle bell? I recently got the Gerber kettle bell, and I absolutely love the shape of the blade and the handle, and the feel of it in my hand and the finger choil! But the frame lock is an absolute beast and I can’t flick the thing open. It’s way too hard, so I’m trying to find a knife that gives me that feel and look that is more user-friendly, if the kettlebell was on ball bearings, and had a liner lock or some thing it would probably be my favorite knife!

My most carried knife was by far and away the We Knives Mini Malice in bronze titanium, but the QSP Penguin in brass was a close second. The Leatherman Micra was the only multitool I carried as its perfect for my needs. I just got into Pens and flashlights this year, thanks to you, and carried my Refyne EP1 in Black the most for sure. As far as flightlights go, its a toss up between my Streamlight Microstream in Bronze and my Reylight Pineapple Mini in Brass.

Good video, personally I'd like to see more high end flashlights stuff. That's the one piece of my gear I haven't found something that suits me yet. I've been buying and trying out different ones all year and as I decide they aren't for me my family and friends keep ending up with gently used lights I decided I don't like. On the raylight pineapple mini at the moment....we'll see.

Can we examine the RovyVon Aurora E5 GITD dual-power Hybrid LED flashlight on 2023 ? It surely is not one of your High-End, huge Price Tag items, but a good Bang for your buck flashlight which is utilitarian and has some rather unorthodox innovations that may effect the conventional EDC flashlight concept.
