I've had mine for a week, no difference in low end tq, quieter than a Ram Hammer. I have a Spartan Plus cam and a 3,000 rpm stall converter, JBA headers/ Borla cat back, no cats. At 45 mph in a 6,000 lb 4x4QC, it will break loose. Hope to dyno this week. I put old school HEMI sticker on mine.
Looks and sounds nice. I just ordered one for my 05 Ram. I have a Ram Hammer now. I will dyno and see if there is any improvement, however may be hard to compare on a dyno compared to ram air effect on highway. I like the old school Mopar look.
Hey, great video. I just bought a vararam from a Buddy cheap but I came off a 2012 and I have a 14. The only thing I can't figure out is where the half in house that goes to the air box goes. I think its for the egr valve? Just wondering what you did with yours. I couldn't really see in the pictures. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
+Nick Bissonnette i think you want that seal so its only taking the cold air i have the kn intake and the box for it and it has made an indent in the lining of the hood so might be ok anyway gonna try one of these on new truck this summer
roy massey if it’s anything like any other cold air intake I’ve tried it would do worse. Unless u get other mods. A stock tuned truck will loose power with a open intake system.
DONGARCIA I’ve had mine for 3 years and never had any issues with water even in pouring down rain. Its a pretty great intake, it helped shave 3 tenths off my 1/4 mile time too.
Take that piece of shit off your truck and throw it in the garbage.. yeah it looks cool but it does nothing for performance at all. If your running a tuner such as a bully dog look at your IAT inlet air temp before and after your install.. it will be hotter with the varaturd than it will be with stock air box. Anybody knows you want cold air to make power. Not the hot air that’s coming off the radiator going thru the huge varaturd then trying to make a hard 90 degree turn back to the throttle body. Buy a k&n for stock air box then use a 2” hole saw and put some holes in bottom of air box.. much more air and true cold air. Save yourself $500 don’t buy this piece of shit!

no the deflector runs the air from in front of the radiator. Hope you got this in time lol
