Before I got into Paul's work, I learned a lot of the theory of astrology. First of all, because I'm a firm upholder of "learning through experience" thanks to Paul Chek, it's very sad to me that the whole astrology seems to be more based on some big objects in the sky that we don't try to intuitively figure out in any other way, than perhaps by looking at a piece of paper or a computer screen where there's a map of those things, and then try see correlations to our psyche and to our life, our life being the macrocosm of our psyche and inner world.
I just see this as a very fundamental pitfall for all astrologers out there.
I remember how you said Paul, and what one shaman-book I've been reading recently, also said, regarding shamanism: is that shamans tend to do this ritual or such where they attune themselves to all four directions (east west north south) as well as to the earth and sky, six directions then. I very strongly think we should do this in astrology too, to the planets as well as to the directions (astrological signs).
And personally, I used to try use the tropical zodiac, but now I've found sidereal to be better for me, somehow. As a person from northern hemisphere, Finland, the house system is also a big questionmark for anyone on these latitudes, and I'm leaning more towards both placidus as well as equal houses, both of them showing their own truths of the matter.
And finally... one thing Joey Yap said in one of his many books on chinese astrology: Sky (astrology) is just one of three parts of which human's fate consists of: the two others are Earth (I think your immediate surroundings and maybe the people you surround yourself with) and Man (your free will and programming you choose to go with or against, and all the internal work for each individual).
Thank you for taking the time to get into one of my former favourite subjects, Paul, and thank you for knowing to ask the right questions from this very well-educated (not just indoctrinated) fellow Ernst.
    Mikko!

I hold a similar viewpoint as well. I don’t see how you can call yourself a true astrologer if you don’t have a personal relationship with the stars and planets yourself. Astrology is rooted in direct observation and experience.

Yeah, this is great info. I sense I can trust it without fact-checking.
Topics with lots of controversy is where I value this podcast the most.

Indians did know astrology better, just like history will say Americans knew internet better and thus invented it. What’s the problem here? Dude uses Parashari jyothish from which everything in astrology as practiced is derived. Parashara was from 5000 years ago. Yet, he seems to state that Indian astrology is outcome of exchange between Greeks, Arabs, Indians. 😂. It is ok not to give full credit to Vedic astrology, rishis don’t ask for praise, but misinformation is pathetic attempt to obfuscate something that gave so much to humanity.
