Look at 1:43! I didn't know that Petrucci can sing so high xD. No really isn't he, but I don't know why they use that background voice, they don't need that in live performances...
I could be wrong but I believe that's the same backing vocals from the studio version of this song, so I don't think JP is screaming. Plus, I believe it was James who did those scream vocals in the studio version. Though, I'm not too sure myself. If that is JP screaming, that is amazingly impressive.
Labrie says he has never used autotune live, but maybe he rerecorded the lyrycs in the studio, tahts something a lot of bands do; but sometimes Labrie really is just an spectacular singer
In this period he was still sounding fine so probably there's just some minor edits. Distant memories is a completely different story tho... Still, I think they did a pretty good job with the editing, James had a rough time these last tours
its a combination of both, he generally sounded quite good on this tour but every DT release since Score (inclusive) has had some level of autotune, and i believe every live album has at least one overdub
Why not? Just because they are very progressive and implement a lot of different sounds into their music, doesn't mean I should just stand there during one of the heaviest riffs ever.
Eita porra do caralho kkkkkkkkkkkkk adolescência boa que eu tive. Era chegar da escola e botar essa música pra tocar enquanto mamãe servia o almoço kkkkkkkkkkkkkk
That final scream is the sound of Labrie pushing his vocal chords too far and destroying them. I swear within 5 years he won't be able to sing anymore if he keeps it up.
haha @WillEnj0y, now! go and listen to The Break of Illumination theorie''You never know'' those kinda bit is the way he makes mater of his throat and he does that every night this running evening with tour. and it is amazing and he def. doesn't hurts himself with him, he just is amazing (and sounds god like this tour)
Daniel DN Agreed. I don't know if that stuff was added during the show or if it was overlaid on the recording afterwards, but either way it's not cool. They did the same thing with the Illumination Theory live performance: the orchestral piece in the middle of the song is overlaid from the studio track.
They use backing tracks in live performances, they cant hire 5 extra guitars, 3 extra pianos and 3 extra singers to do a live performance and they cant always have an orchestra on their shows, using backing tracks is the best they can do to make the song sound as close as studio as posible
@@maruseron that was a weird choice. A major reason to play in a country like Argentina is for "how crazy" their crowd can be. And then they go and put seats in the venue... "Build me up, sit me down"
4:04 Mangini's Pro Dance.
My god that scream at 5:50
5:29 the vibrato on the end of this vocal line gives me the chills
that scream gave me chills twice at the same time
never felt that before
I know bruv🤗, James is amazing!
That final scream sounded like it was the end of the "Intervals" section of octavarium
Perfect execution, perfect time, without improvising and perfect sound balance. One definition: professional masters!
That day I was there...and it was amazing :)
me too and it was really incredible !!!
You are so lucky then
6:02 Jordan Rudess and your dark keybord feeling... awesome
Reminds me of some Addams family sh*t.. 😅❤
Ever since I first heard Dream Theater 20 years ago I can’t seem to want to listen to any other bands with the same passion
Great song from amazing beautiful album :)
great tune
Beautiful chorus!
Sucks this is just a bonus track on Luna park cause it kicks ass live. Great performance

My favorite song of theirs
JP's riff in the second verse ❤️❤️❤️
It doesn't look like Petrucci is really screaming during the chorus...
Cause he is not even trying 😂

My favorite track from A Dramatic Turn Of Events S2
woke up today (2021) and listen to this song x20+ times.
They played this when I saw them in 2011 and I always thought the live version of the vocals is way better than the album version!
First time I heard and 1st time to hear James like that.. Awesome!!!
Nice Sound Live ... ... ... 😎
BREAK

5:50 S E N S A C I O N A L !! UM LEÃO RUGINDO!

Amazing!!!
ALGUEM URGENTEMENTE FAÇA UM COMPILADO DOS DRIVES DO JAMES LABRIE! QUE MONSTRO!
Holy shit!! Sounds better than the studio version. LaBrie was fuckin' awesome!!!! Was this one his good days or he was autotuned or something???
YTazzkickr01 nope, just his voice, maybe they fiz one thing or two on live, but no big deal, he just sound amazing
YTazzkickr01 probably a mix of auto tune, good day and overlay

very nice album !
Que som foda mano, muito top mesmo👏👏👏👏👏🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A show like this should never be played somewhere with seats - YOU CAN'T MOSH!
Jeremy Hilss Dream Theater is not a 'mosh' band.
Why not? Just because they are very progressive and implement a lot of different sounds into their music, doesn't mean I should just stand there during one of the heaviest riffs ever.
you should never mosh on DT show. You'll miss the magical skills each of them.
Rizki Fitrianto you mosh to the good riffs my dude
Mosh pits are for children. I prefer to sit down and watch the magic happen rather than run around in circles like a headless chicken.
its best video brother
Omg this intro. \m/
Epic!
That was so fucking cool
4:20 top
Eita porra do caralho kkkkkkkkkkkkk adolescência boa que eu tive. Era chegar da escola e botar essa música pra tocar enquanto mamãe servia o almoço kkkkkkkkkkkkkk
James looks like Tig from SOA
Build me up, buttercup
3:13 what the heck mangini?
Something didn't taste good 😂
"whap,
whap"
-Mike Mangini
They've could make a crazy guitar solo with chorus:(💔
yo estuve ahi pero no cuando hicieron este tema lamentablemente
banger
With a massive amount of respect to Mike Mangini, my guilty obsession is Portnoy.

at least he sings until he has no more voice unlinke new modern famous boys
Yes, Will, you for sure can teach LaBrie how to sing.
MusicMan Luke Wow, that comment doesn't even warrant a response.
Nobody asked for it mate

+heiko mack oh it was, why do you say that?
heiko mack And... ???
Mack HXYZ see that’s where your wrong
That's goddamn John Petrucci
Bro its must be live..
Its freaking john petrucci
Ah yes, Nu-Theater
elementary school children can play this drum. what's wrong is creating. like the original drummer dream tht
Totally not cool how they pipe in the background vocals. Not cool at all. This is supposed to be a live performance.
I also don't like that fact that they put in the guitar parts form the track in some parts, it's supposed to be a fucking live performance!
Daniel DN Agreed. I don't know if that stuff was added during the show or if it was overlaid on the recording afterwards, but either way it's not cool. They did the same thing with the Illumination Theory live performance: the orchestral piece in the middle of the song is overlaid from the studio track.
Nitephall
well I', going to go see them in april, lets hope they don't do it agian.
Nitephall Get over it!

the worst crowd ever!!!
MrCsa77 ?
there are seats in the luna park if you're complaining about how they aren't jumping and pushing people
@@maruseron that was a weird choice. A major reason to play in a country like Argentina is for "how crazy" their crowd can be.

Bring back Portnoy
WHY?
