Ladies and gentlemen, Gluto was exactly ONE THIRTIETH OF A SECOND away from losing this set. That was frame 6 of Fox's frame-8 Up-Smash that Gluto's down-tilt interrupted.

This set was incredibly hype, good aggresive gameplay from both but man Fox weight didn't help him against Wario clutch factor. Now Gluttony will have his rematch against Mkleo (Or perhaps Light will have his rematch).

This was my fav set of Pound 2022. Was cheering for both, but my god was I depressed how stale those Fox B-airs were at the end 😔
That situation in the last game where Gluttony spaced out Light w those down tilts into forward Smash and finished the stock with the edge guards was done very well
Two of the best at parrying, nice to see them actively using it to get openings. Nice players to watch

Goes to show u how different every character is. Fox died to a dash attack at 103 percent. While wario got back aired twice and survived

I feel like light has recently just been giving up ledge pressure and its been costing him greatly
Tbh I started to notice a few of the limitations of fox on the ledge pressure... It's extremely fast, but he doesnt actually have that many options. Light was forced to give up that method because Glu kept parrying him and punishing.

I just don't understand stage counterpicking in Ultimate. Fox wants to kill you with up-smash and up-air. Wario wants to kill you with waft, bair, f-tilt, dash attack, and dair. T&C has narrow horizontal blastzones and a high ceiling blastzone. The blastzones favor Wario and hinder Fox. Why is it that they not only started on T&C, but Light runs it back there?

Thats warios main strategy, bait and punish, you can see this strategy in other characters too, like squirtle for example.
Wario doesn’t have good ground speed or good frame data on shield or good range, he’s bad at pressuring/rushdown. So he camps with waft and uses his air drift to weave out of a hit box and punish. When he has waft he uses it as free conditioning. you have to block his falling up air or his nair because not blocking them means death. If you block his waft set ups that leaves you open for a grab/chomp.

Fox sucks in Ultimate lmao There's characters that kills with TILTS, even jabs, but Fox cant kill with his BAIR, wich is a supposed to be "kill move" from him
He's a great character but just sooooo honest, he doesn't have the cheese factor a lot of other high tiers and top tiers have.
