You're a champ for trying Mango Chili as your first LMNT experience. It is definitely my least favorite!! I'm on a real Watermelon Salt + Raspberry Salt kick right now. I also found it much more helpful to use half of a sachet in about 8 ish oz of water when I first introduced electrolytes because the flavor was so foreign.
Those are my two go tos also! And I second the splitting it up.

According to some of the literature Andrew Huberman has discussed on the podcast- for better muscular recovery cold exposure BEFORE training, but for endurance, it’s better After 👍👍 something to think about
Does a person have to wake up early in the morning or can they do the cold plunge anytime during the day?
What temp should the water be and the submersion time in water is 2 mins?

Mango Chili is my favorite LMNT, but I only use 1/2 a packet per large tumbler of water.

With the cold plunge deep breath step in exhale deep breath squat down hold exhale controlling your breathing is key .
Your video reminded me once again that I definitely need to try taking ice baths, it's just I hate the cold. I moved from the Netherlands to South Africa to be in a warm climate (& be with my husband😉)

Someone else suggested that a half teaspoon sea salt can replace the electrolyte drink. I tried it and it gave me very bad diarrhea (sorry about the TMI), I think because I usually don't add salt to anything. I'm waiting for some trace mineral drops AND I'm not going to use the suggested dose right away. I'm going to start small.

i just started 15 jan with icebaths do it everyday for 8 min easy this morning it was 2.8 degrees i think how colder the water the better kick u get of itt 😎🔥
Well done with the ice bath! Full dunk with silent meditation for 3-5 min is the way to go, but I understand you had a camera rolling.
Doing a morning meditation completely changed my mornings. Btw, also not a fan of the cold, so when is the science going to come out that hot tubs are great for you? hahaha

The science is in . Hot Tubs have similar effect as sauna. Sauna and cold therapy both produce shock proteins. Try just a cold shower for a few minutes. It’s all about the shock. Turn cold shower on , feel the shock, as soon as your body warms up, the job is done, The body is an adaptive response system. Like sprinting or heavy lifting, short sharp shocks set the hormonal response in train. The only long duration work I do is walking outside in nature. Everything else is done in less than 12 mins.
