@@sophielingo3229 I'm here for Miss Daddario
Yup
One of the most unique books I ever read, possibly even better than the haunting of hill house. Just found out there's a movie today and I'm pumped!
I just finished it today! Like what a brilliant storytelling!
This movie is so well casted... Literally the best cast ever for this movie... I've never seen a movie so like the book and it be this good 🤩
Agreed. This and The Fault in our Stars was great book to film casting. I know there's a couple others but I can't think about it off the top of my head. Also the first Percy Jackson movie had amazing casting tbh, minus grover (even though the movie was not like the book much at all)
@@awesumtoast97 its, our home stay #RichieJames, don't confuse. Amen.😂
Sebastian is amazing as always 💜
Will totally watch this- because Shirley Jackson.
I'd watch it for Alexandra D'addario.
Yes, they'r nice...I mean she.. She's nice.

I just finished reading the book!! I didn't know they were making it into a movie. Hope they do justice to the book.
It took me a while to understand why she was burying her father's items to fend of evil... very clever.
wait explain?
OMG this looks awesome! I love Sebastian ever since I first seen him in "The Covenant".
I will watch it for Sebastian!!!
Taissa Farmiga is the lead of this film.. She is have a slight chance get nominations in all category for Best Actress like SAG or Film Independent or Gotham or Critic Choice or National Review, I know Oscars is long shot for her
Anything with Crispen Glover is worth a watch
💯%
It's nice to see that I'm finding the trailers with Taissa Farmiga's name spelled correctly.
In the middle of reading this book rn. Taissa Farmiga and Alex Daddario are perfect for the sisters!
Anything involving Crispin Glover I love.hes an Amazing actor. Has anyone seen the movies Rivers Edge he's in.it got 3 stars.its an 80s movie he did.really really good movie!

@@morgangipson6338 oh indeed Morgan very misunderstood as geniuses are♡

OMG!!!! I have to watch the movie :o I love the book!
I thought I read this book. I barely remember it but I am excited to watch the movie now.
This gives me such Stoker vibes, love it!
Please let that date in May be an international release and not just one for the US. Can't wait to see it
@@FallenAngelRecords it's out in the USA. Can't buy it on VOD here in Europe
@@FallenAngelRecords I don't do torrents. And my comment was more about letting them know that people outside are interested in seeing this movie as well.
Am I the only one who think merricat is really not alive & constance just portraying her sister alive to avoid her social anxiety.I mean she is doing all the work and things and using her sister's image as a shield, she is imagining her sister is going to the market taking revenge casting out people that are harmful for them. She has two character, one is good another is her sister.
I thought this.
Taissa Farmiga is back! 😍😍😍😍😍💘😘💓☺💞
We always living in the castle i ls mu wonderful book
Here for Farmiga🥰
My baby Sebastian 😩
i just read the book. Loved it. I just don't see it as a movie, no shade to actors.. they just don't fit. an animated film would have been amazing tho
I love Shirley Jackson, I'm reading this book right now then I am totally watching this because it looks amazing
I love Shirley Jackson, I read all her books throughout my teens and early twenties, I'm going to see if I can get a copy of the book somewhere and I saw the movie just this morning at Redbox, I knew I should have grabbed it!
@@vangogo6819 how was the movie? I still need to watch it. The book was very good. It's such a strange tale of mental illness but I really loved it.
@@brokenspear6604 I actually haven't seen it yet! Every time I drive by Redbox I tell myself to just get it. I think I am going to get it this week, my schedule is less hectic than it has been. I'm real curious to see how the movie compares to the book, I read that book about 5 times over the years, can you tell I really like it? 🤣🤣🤣. Once I watch it I will come back and give you my opinion without any spoilers.😊
@@vangogo6819 hahah I know how the craziness goes. Did you watch The Haunting of Hill House? I really liked it even though it wasn't terribly faithful to the book
@@brokenspear6604 If you are talking about the old movie, the Haunting of Hill House with Rowdy McDowell, I saw that. While it was good it was nowhere as good as the book. Have you ever read The Lottery? It's a shorter story but it's a real chiller!
I'm here for the greatest set man has laid eyes on
Taissa farmiga I love in the nun amazing actor ❤ I'm watching for her even tho there all great actors ❤from rachael and philip dublin ireland ♥❤🇮🇪
I am here from holding up the universe book ✌🏼
The book was amazing
I knew I recognized two of the girls in this and I also got a vibe that reminds me of the movie The Others
oh that was such a great movie
I have read the novel
Violet Harmon and Zoe Benson from American Horror Story + Annabeth Chase from Percy Jackson, Avery Martin from When We First Met and Emma Corrigan from Can You Keep a Secret?
I can't wait to see this
working on the book for my dissertation, hopefully the movie is as much good as the novel
On Demand? Where can I stream it?
It's coming to Netflix next month (September 2019)
i would die for sebastian stan
something about sebastian stan kicking down that door does it for me
Sebastian great as always

I literally just found out about the book like a week ago and got it from the library looking up books with a Twin Peaks vibe haha. Now I find out about the movie with all these actors I really enjoy. Noice.
"Noice" 😂
If you want books with a twin peaks vibe, may I very highly recommend 'the secret history' by Donna Tartt
Here for Alexandra and Sebastian.
bagus
Sister Irene 😍
This movie was shot in my Nanas house
Whoa really thats cool
Anyone else only here for Sebastian ?
Whoo Sebastian Stan!
Sebastian 😍😍😍
OMG! I really miss Crispin Glover.
Crispin Glover
TAISSA IS THE QUEEN
Sergeant Barnes
this is my favorite book, this movie better not be a fuck up
The film looks nothing like the book
i only watched this movie because of alex❤️
SEBASTIAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!
I’m sorry I’m just here for Sebastian Stan lmao
I’m here for Alex ❤️
I read the book a couple of years ago so I've been looking forward to the movie however I live in the UK and there is absolutely no information anywhere about how people in the UK can see it. Ridiculous! 👎👎
it is currently on Netflix if you haven't found it yet.
Taissa
Эх. Если б режиссёр не консультировалась с сыном Ширли Джексон, то возможно было бы более интереснее. (( нет задумки режиссёра, хотя актёры - прекрасны)
The most diabolical film I've seen.
This looks like a less good version of Stoker.
book is way better XD
Isn't Constance blonde? I am not sure if Daddario fits the bill. The casting of Merrikat seems spot on though.
honestly the book (though I only read half) wasn’t at all my taste but this trailer is very much making me want to watch the movie… who knows maybe the eeriness will translate better on screen 🤷🏻♀️
TaiSsa liKe vera hard not to watCh in anything.... Stan dA' maN 💯 💪
I have the book and have read it along with every novel Algernon blackwood and Edward Gorey have written... This movie sucked
This movie was go frustrating like Sebastian (Charles) was the only somewhat reasonable one 🤦♀️
looks better than the book
Looks real bad, especially given these were the parts they picked as the best.
This movie is NOT worth watching. I know it certainly looks intriguing from the trailer, but it's not. It's dreadfully boring (the only thing remotely interesting happens at the end), the 3 major characters (Mary Katherine/Merricat, Constance & Julian were extremely dislikable) and the movie barely explained anything. Also, about the only likeable character, (Charles- because he actually acted human and not abnormal or wooden/mentally ill like those others) ends up dead.
The only thing good about this movie, besides the acting, is the photography. Edit: The book might be decent but the movie certainly didn't do it justice. The movie version is frustrating and *extremely* boring.
Audrey My thoughts exactly. I enjoyed it only for the beautiful imagery and the beautiful Sebastian. It was an interesting concept but I wish it had maybe some type of twist at the end. I assume the book must be 1000 times better though.
You seriously gonna spoil a movie in the comments section of the trailer??
Thanks hate wasting time on silly movies
The movie its so fucking boring!
Movie is stupid and confusing. Wasted time watching this.
Just watched this movie. Looked like mysterious in the early going like it had potential but ultimately never really went anywhere and was a massive waste of time. Main character girl who also does the narration is an entirely obnoxious freak. I’m not sure if we are supposed to be on her side or not. All she does is walk around like antisocial but the whole movie and everyone hates her with good reason. Unsure why RedBox placed this in their horror movie section. Will not be shopping RedBox any longer. Too many of their movies suck and are badly categorized. Will stick with Netflix.
This movie was so boring and stupid
Really!? Why?
Agree!Just finished the movie and its so fucking boring!
Thanks for the heads up, it's 1a.m and I was just about to waste my time.
