Justin, you are right about practice being one of the biggest contributor to one's talents. Mori was trained by her father when she was younger. Regine Velasquez and Lea Salonga as well. They may already have that innate talent to begin with but to be on their level, the effort put into practice makes the difference. While most Filipinos can't afford or have no access to singing lessons or formal music lessons, Filipinos incorporate singing in their daily lives. Mothers would sing to their kids to sleep. We don't usually read to them. Karaoke is a staple during occassions. It's being exposed to music and singing in our daily lives.
Nope thats not the case here. Some can can practice soo much everyday, but if he/she doesnt have the talent and the voice. U can never achieved the caliber of those good singers
@@lexopims3660 Hi. What I said was "practice being one of the biggest CONTRIBUTOR to one's TALENTS." They have the talent AND they also practiced a lot and hard that's why they're a caliber of their own. That is why I also included Regine V. and Lea Salonga. These people were born to sing AND they nurtured it with practice and dedication.
I've been a fan of Morisette since her The Voice days and I've seen (though I'm not an expert at music or singing) her progress not just in her career but also with her singing voice. I believe that some of that success came from practice and coaching from fellow singers and voice experts. Yung lang. :D
I consider this one of Mori's masterpiece performance. What an incredible and dynamic vocals. Thank you for reacting to her music once again.

Yeah, I felt the same way until..., her performance on stage in the firery Phoenix Red Dress with Flames Dancing in the background engulfing her. I feel her BEST which is hard believe that Perfection could get any better.

The secret why Filipinos are good at singing is simply because of them being such happy people (despite the ups and downs in life) and when one is happy there’s a tendency to sing. Filipino children start hearing songs even when they’re still in their mothers’ wombs, after being born they still hear their parents sing (with or without karaoke), most Filipino homes have radios and karaoke, and so these kids were exposed to singing at very early age, as the saying goes ‘practice makes perfect’ (good exercise for the lungs).

Gotta admit the Filipinos practice a lot from karaoke. They start young and the family and everyone around at school, work etc are cool with it so they're not afraid to do what they do.
Thank you for being real about how it takes practice to be that good. So many fans are like oh so and so is the goddess and just naturally better than anyone else… That’s bullshit. It took a lot of work to be that good, and the difference between people who are amazing and people who are just Good is the amount of practice, as well as constantly daring and challenging yourself to do things that seem impossible vocally, you learn, you figure things out, and you practice your ass off, but all that comes after daring in the first place! And Morissetteis not the only good singer there, I don’t buy into that narrative. There’s lots of other women that are equally good they don’t get nearly as much attention and should.
