- By now we all have seen the Denon DJ Prime 4, but now Denon have introduced the Prime 4 Special Edition WHITE and we just had to take a look! We unbox the Denon Prime 4 White to see if it's worth the excitement.
If you don't know, the Denon DJ Prime 4 is a powerful 4-channel all-in-one DJ unit, the only of it's kind. Running Engine OS with it's 10" touchscreen, there's nothing like it.

Gotta say love the Denon DJ products... I bought the white skin wrappers for mine a few years back.. Regular updates and just happy with the purchase...Boom!

The DN 9000 Rack mount was one if my favorites back in the day ...made me a fan of Denon DJ ....I Just bought the Pioneer 1000srt .....but wow that Denon DJ Prime 4 in white is sure a thing of beauty!
Atleast, Denon made white and black vers at the same price.
But Pioneer made white +$200 > black

This makes a lot of sense! Why is not all DJ gear white, considering we use it mostly in the dark.
True! The contrast makes everything so much clearer. Though in a busy club environment they would probably need a bit of a clean every now and then.

i own the Prime 4 black. The ONLY thing i didnt like was the platter and the edge so i made some modifications-
1. I 3D printed a pioneer style platter edge cover that sits right over the platter
2. i added a small friction pad at the bottom of the platter cover to reduce the platter spin. Works like a dream now :)
Really cool ideas to adapt the controller to your preferences with 3D printing - nice one!
I'm not a dj but I am thinking of learning the art of music mixing. This looks like the control console for a starship and it seems to have everything a dj could want. Unfortunately with a 2k price tag it'll have to wait for quite some time.
I thought no until I seen it in the flesh. OMG, BEAUTIFUL! Wished I held off and got the white vs my black one.

Nooo, been trying to avoid watching videos of the the white P4 as I have it in black and I really like this!!! Wish it was out 5 months ago when I invested!!!!
Inevitable to have some envy when seeing this! There are some companies that do skins for the Prime 4 though if you wanted to do it DIY style. Or do a swap for the white one in the future 😉

@@Suntdy007 I put a custom skin on my Prime 4 from StyleFlip and love it! Fits perfect and looks great. I'm actually buying another one with more white to match the new table I built with a custom epoxy coat 😉

Wish the platters were still black, I think skinning a black model in white would look great because of that.
My x1850 and SC5000's I skinned white, might do my Prime 4 next lol
Worth trying and seeing if that works for you better, you've got the skinning experience! We do love how the light platters look with the lighting.
I have a question. Should I get the Pioneer XDJ 1000MK2 or Denon DJ Prime SC 6000 not the 6000M.
The Denon DJ SC6000 has a lot more features packed inside and is a lovely unit. We'd recommend the XDJ-1000 over the SC6000 if you plan to play in clubs and gigs where you don't bring your own equipment. This is because they'll most likely have CDJs and it's good to feel comfortable when playing out. For most other use though the SC6000 takes the edge and will be a lot of fun to use!
I wish they made a Prime 4 (M) with the same platters from the 5/6ks

I like a white Pioneer. Denon I prefer black. I think this is cos Pioneer is more crowded with controls than denon.

I think it looks like a completely different unit in white. It looks classy.
In my opinion, the black colorway looks cheap.
But somehow, simply being shrouded in white, all that green looks better.
@@risquedj I've noticed on some other videos that there's a lot of mixed feelings about both black and white. Some say the black looks cheap, while others say the white looks like a toy. I've even seen people get into some pretty intense arguments about it, which seems kind of stupid to me since function-wise they're both the same controller.
I think it's great Denon is now giving people a choice between the two. They probably should have done that from the beginning but I'm sure there was business strategy behind it. Plus, there's always skins as an option too! Some people just like to complain and argue no matter what. Denon could offer it in 1,000 colors and they'd still be b*ching about it!

It looks beautiful but does it have that horrible Denon scratchy 2.5 k spike that most of their equipment has? And is the processor underpowered like most of their CD players?
I have a Prime 4 and its by far the best controller I've used. It is fast and they provide lots of software upgrades with new features every quarter
Your question is very stupid.... All Denon Prime gears, as well as Prime 4, have by far the most powerful DJ hardware and processor performance, compared to any DJ gears all of the world. This is more than 3 years unquestionable fact. 4 core CPU 4 x 2,1Ghz, 8 + 2 GB internal Memory, 600MHz GPU, 1gigabit network Ethernet , AKM 32bit DA converters for all Audio Outputs, Engine OS running on Linux platform, etc. Denon gears never did processor underpowered!
