Basically . When it comes to winning. But there’s a lot of variables Mitch isn’t covering in tactics 6-9. Counter magic, boros beats, opposing discard effects, etc. but overall like most combo decks, as long as you get your mana rocks out early and the opponents don’t counter them or strip mine away your land fetch lands, it’s magic solitaire 🎃🤖 pretty cool deck for $50✌️

By paying its cost, you put the ability "Carrion Howler get +2/-1" onto the stack and you can always hold priority after putting a spell or an ability on the stack to do something else. Since the ability hasn't resolved yet, you can do it again, over and over, until you put that ability onto the stack any amount of times you want to.

This is A very nice Belzelok deck but there are A couple things I would like to point out.
this deck and decks like it just die to removal. A well timed removal spell can kill you at the following times .
-In response to casting Empty The Catacombs someone removes Skirge Familiar.
    -Countering Gary
    -Countering the Empty The Catacombs
    -Countering the Dread Return
    -Countering the Repay In Kind
Any of these things can stop the combo and this will kill you because you have no cards left in your library
and any lose of life that can bring you below 23 life can stop you from casting belzenlok. it is not hard for A table to bring you to 25 life in 5 turns especially when you have no blockers for the first 4 turns. I understand that Deadly wanderings is in this deck because it solves this problem but you can not rely on it even if you aggressively mulligan for the card. this is why the deck is surprisingly hard to pilot
adding A card like Dread to the deck can get you A couple extra turns for you to piece together A win if you get stopped.
if you want A Belzenlok deck here are A couple links to some more persistent decks that teach you haw to play them.
    tappedout.net/mtg-decks/miketrike-demonlord-belzenlok/ tappedout.net/mtg-decks/one-card-combo-demonlord-belzenlok/
if you cut out the non-basic lands and the non-combo cards and replace them with swamps you can make these decks around the $50-$60 price range.
Note I did not create these deck lists.
this kind of deck is on the power level of A low CEDH deck and this might get some people upset with you when you win the game like this in A casual pod. you might want to start the games off by saying that the deck is A combo deck and you can win out of nowhere.

Very interesting wind condition.but I would assume that after you play this deck a couple times in your play group they will catch on to this tactic and what if somebody counterspells one of your key pieces? Are you screwed for the rest of the game?

I just joined a league and only have a janky mono red aggro deck and a vito gain life opp lose life deck but was wondering how you vets feel about demon tribals? Can they win or is it too risky?

So nothing against your channel (I'm subbed and I dig your stuff) but I have a question... Are your channel and channels like yours good for the MTG community? Yes, I think you do an awesome job, it's great that you do deep dive on cheap/affordable decks, you do think pieces, etc but also everytime you or another major MTG channels do a video on card(s), the market prices tend to rise. With the market prices rising, it does make it harder for people to play EDH b/c it makes the game a little less affordable.
Like everytime that the Command Zone does a game knights video, the commander that wins tends to see a spike in pricing along with other cards that had a major influence in the match... I honestly started to noticed it after the Kozilek deck that Ashley ran in that video. Kozi spiked along with other cards.
I have no ill will against any of yall but I was just thinking "Does the positives outweigh the negatives? Is there a fine line to walk? I am just seeing things? Seeing Correlations where there really aren't any?" and I just wanted your thoughts on it... i feel like you've talked about this before but I couldn't think if yall have done a video on this idea yet or maybe I'm just imagining that you've talked about this before

Can we get some gameplay with these deckd every now and then instead of just deck techs? The techs are neat and all, but they get kind of repetitive and boring and I know I would love to see some of these combos actually take action before I build the decks.

Man, I wish Marrow-Gnawer was anywhere near viable as a mono-black deck.

    • @captainhalfbeard3038

I built Marrow-Gnawer as a rat tribal. Cards like Relentless Rats (whose text says you can have any number of these cards in your deck) and a Thrumming Stone make for some beefy, menacing rodents. Almost won a tournament with it.

Have an idea for a "free* summons" deck with cards that let your opponents bring cards from hand to field w/o cost (Tempting Wurm, Hunted Wumpus), but also control cards (Lavinia, Azorius Renegade) to prevent it. Any advice?
