IT'S FINALLY HERE! After 8 months since we released the first version of Super Funkin' Galaxy's Demo, we're finally back with a MASSIVE update that overhauls everything from the initial release and adds a ton of new content aswell! This release of Super Funkin' Galaxy's Demo contains 25 songs in total. The team has been working super hard on this over the last couple of months and we really hope you like what we've put together for you today! If you haven't heard of this mod before, here's the story!
On a regular Friday Night, our protagonist, Boyfriend, and his girlfriend, conveniently called.. Girlfriend, were hanging out at her house when all of a sudden her big bad dad and retired Rockstar Daddy Dearest appeared from the dark to offer Boyfriend something to do..
Unknowing of what will happen next, Boyfriend finds himself being magically transported into DD's old Nintendo Wii, Girlfriend following right behind him to keep him out of harm's way.
As he opens his eyes, he finds of himself in the wonderful world of Super Mario Galaxy! But Before BF can get to his feet, a familiar red plumber stands before him..
Will the power of music alone get him out unscathed, or will he fall to the hands of his Girlfriend's pesky old dad's tricks?
There's only one way to find out...

The fact that the sparkles on the title screen spell out UR FUKN GAY is quite funny and a nice reference to the actual title.

Honestly as a huge smg fan this is so beautifully made props to you guys yall did such a great job. Honestly when I played it i almost cried its that good seeing two of my favorite games together. All the remixes of the soundtracks from the original smg game to fit into the fnf honestly is so astonishing to play. From the sound effects to even the dialogue its insane how well made it is and the fact that its just a demo is crazy. Absolutely beautiful mod can’t wait for the full release!
Mario has gotten so many tributes in FNF, whether they be horror-based like Mario's Madness, non-horror-based like this one, or a mix of the two like Funky Forest Mayhem. To be fair, when regarding a video game franchise with such a lengthy history as Mario, there's so much to explore and base mods off of, whether they be official or fan content.
This mod alone not only tackles the Galaxy games, but also features

- Super Mario 128
- Mario Sports Mix
- The Sexy Luigi mod
- The Super Mario Galaxy DS hoax
And all of that is just in this version of the mod, regardless if it is the final version or not. I haven't actually watched the mod itself yet, but just from the timestamps, I can already see just how much was put into this mod, both from an aesthetic standpoint and from a tribute standpoint.
Dude this update is legendary and the fact that it's still a demo makes me smile. So much more to look forward to. I want to thank everyone's efforts on this mod man. The artists, the composers, the charters, the coders, everyone man! YALL COOKED!!!

this is the second mod, alongside hotline 024, i can say im shocked is just a demo. in a good way! a good deal of content and its all quality! gfs expressions during some of the songs reflect how i feel abt the mod's content. great stuff, cant wait for the full mod! (take ur time tho ofc)

Hoping bowser will make an appearance in the full thing. Also it would be cool if the song name was Orientation. A reference to what I named the discovery that bowser could go to other planets that are not the main battle planet in galaxy one. Anyway this looks good hope to see more!

All 3 versions of toad brigade go extremely hard in my opinion, they all somehow are in a mix of my favourite song in this mod.

I think The Wish has a deeper meaning. I don't think BF left Mario Galaxy that day, but rather this song is him passing on, and Rosalina helping him into the afterlife through song, with his final wish making sure that GF stays safe, no matter what.
Aside from my theory, this demo is amazing. Keep up the good work!
This is actually perfect! My only criticism is that Luigi looks a bit off

This demo, just like the first version is still fucking outstanding! Even better than V1 tbh. While the storyline, the cutscenes, the music/songs, characters, and the mechanics basically remain the same, new of those have been introduced as well. I actually completely forgot that the song duration is scrolled back during Purple Comet and The Wish. Cosmic Boyfriend is still goated as ever and V2 of Cosmic Battle is good (and still, thank god there are no kill notes in his song as well as the rest in this mod). I also forgot that you're teleported from Honeyhive to Goldleaf during the second half of the Cosmic Battle remix AND that the pause menu has its own unique music when playing a certain song. And of course, context still exists as to why the Life Unit Meter replaces the standard health bar in most songs and you regain units when you collect coins. Everything in this demo still amazes me to this day. The newly updated sprites for characters like Mario, Luigi, and even Major Burrows, the newly added story mode and freeplay mode songs, the highly nostalgic legacy songs (which is why its actually reasonable that the old version of Gusty Garden appears and functions like the outdated Kade Engine), the song remixes, and the epilogue song. All this (with the addition of it not being near impossible and unplayable as fuck) proves that you and the Super Funkin Galaxy Team have put in even MORE time, effort, efficiency, work, AND COMMITMENT into this new demo. And I'm confident the full release will be the best build of this mod. Though I hope it is destined to be finished within this year, please, take all the time you need with this mod. I had so much fun playing this. Especially because it was fun to rediscover core elements like the voice acting. I also loved viewing all of the credits and newly added gallery.
You even kept your promise and released the Super Funkin' Galaxy Demo V2 in January (yes, I am WELL aware I'm very late writing this comment as it is now February).
Though if I may make a suggestion: as much as I like V2 of Cosmic Battle, add V1 of the song in the Legacy Songs category in the full release because I really like that song. Otherwise, goated work my bro!

YEAAA, ANOTHER W UPDATE
I played SFG v1 back in june I think and I loved it. I had some issues with it but I still gave it a 7/10. V2 blew my brain away. Every problem I had with V1 was gone. V2 is a 10/10.

Also such a beautiful mod every song that was played made me tear up cause of all of the nostalgia. Super Mario galaxy was the game i went to when i was feeling depressed as a kid and it always brings my mood back up. And now seeing it in my all time favorite rhythm game its just fills my heart up with soooo much joy. I wanted to play V1 but for some reason my $700 computer wouldn't download it but I'll be playing V2 for sure when it comss out!!!!

man, this hurts. You guys made such a GORGEOUS mod with IMMACULATE vibes, wonderful stylistic artwork, and a clear adoration for the source material, but then you fumbled it at the last second by making 90% of the songs a bunch of shitty unmemorable originals instead of songs from THE GAME THE WHOLE MOD IS BASED ON. There were so many gorgeous pieces that got left out (Comet Observatory, Beach Bowl, Buoy Base, Sky Station, the list goes on) and for what? "Hell Prominence"? "Hey There"?. So much of Galaxy's charm comes from its music, and it's mostly absent from this mod for a RHYTHM GAME. It's a tragedy, it hurts my soul. Hopefully they fix this in the next update😭
There are 2 kinds of people. There's those who are like you and want more Galaxy covers but then there's people who want more original pieces of work since it's viewed as less lazy. We're trying to have a bit of both to satisfy both audiences. This is still a demo aswell so those left out galaxies you mentioned are still yet to make their appearance.
