    Cmore missed a golden opportunity to gain market share by changing the footprint to what is effectively the industry standard: RMR. Instead they kept it on the RTS2B footprint basically no one uses and its almost double the price of the RTS2B.

    You can tell who takes competition shooting seriously and who doesn't just by this video. The optic was designed around IPSC (USPSA). I have always liked the RTS2 more then any of the other dots. Had it on open guns, CO guns, and limited optics guns.
    I will maybe get one of these but not for the MSRP. Ill let it come down some first.

    Thanks for a great report. I'm a huge CMore fan and this is pretty exciting. With my old eyes I prefer a 12 moa dot so, I'll be waiting for that before buying, but I'm way excited that I'll be able to swap out my RTS2s for the 3 on the slides I've had milled to for the RTS2! Thanks again and I really like your channel - keep up the good work!

    Considering it’s shorter than the rts/r3 cut, I wonder if it will fit in the DPP cut.

    Are the adjustment screws and the erector cluster still made out of liquid mercury?
    On a serious note does it stick with the STS/RTS footprint? One of the bigger factors with RTS2's (all versions) shaking themselves to death long term thats not related to the electronics is the STS/RTS footprint, some nordic IPSC guys did some fancy math analysis of the physics of recoil and the footprints screw-recoil boss placement and found it negatively impacts the harmonics of the transfer of energy leading to move violent movement of the optic. If C-More changed the footprint to something like the DPP/Romeo (not the Romeo 3 which is STS/RTS) or RMR-alike that would help with longevity and also adoption, having to get a STS/RTS specific plate is a big deterrent to non open division guys.

    10k rounds is not an adequate standard for a modern dot. I doubt that's the only testing they have done, and if that's the only number they can stay behind it means the dot is shit.
    I wasn't expecting anything different tbh, cmore has always prioritized anything but reliability.

    • @TheHumbleMarksman
      @TheHumbleMarksman  Před 4 měsíci

      10k is actually a pretty standard DV testing protocol - you may disagree but that’s in line with what the industry does these days

    • @TheHumbleMarksman
      @TheHumbleMarksman  Před 4 měsíci +4

      In Europe the RTS2 is the most dominant optic by a lot. The US market tends to favor the RMR cut - but this optic is superior to the SRO in window size, dot and glass clarity. They also will offer it in reticle sizes that make sense for pistols and not nonsense that mil-bros will think people will like on a pistol - but not the larger MOA offerings prized in competition. I prefer my RTS2s to my SROs. I prefer this to those by a good bit.

    • @Fryheart
      @Fryheart Před 4 měsíci +1

      In europe SRO costs between 1100 and 1200 euros (around 900-1000 before covid and everything else).
      That's the reason it never got popular.

      @Soloman021 Před 4 měsíci +2

      SRO will die from the Holosun 507 Comp if it does, not this. Cmore went with the same footprint as the RTS2 that nobody uses. Everyone makes a plate for the RMR footprint. I can't use a Cmore sight on any of my competition guns (Prodigy and Walther). Only my Victory has a plate mount for the RTS2.

    • @swiftaudi

      @@Soloman021agreed. Why we aren’t adopting a single footprint is dumb. Everyone acts like the rmr footprint isn’t the most popular. I’m all for standardizing a footprint like the acro or something but right now the rmr foot print rules the nest.
