In my opinion, this concert was better than Wacken 2013. The video quality, sound quality, and most of all, camera angles are top notch.
And "Floor Songs"!
Wacken is overrated in my view. It's a great concert, don't get me wrong, but BA2018 and Wembley 2015 are better for me.
Tampere has some versions I prefer to Wembley (Weak Fantasy for example) and vice versa.
This is one of the 4 best openers and I particularly love Floors low register at the beginning.
I agree, especially when they play the Greatest Show on Earth. What really amazes me is how consistent they are! This version, acoustically, sounds almost identical to the Wembley show. There are just enough differences where you know for sure that it's really live. The Buenos Aires show was very good too. The music seemed more raw and natural. Minimal editing.
The parents of Floor were on the front row at this concert.

It is daylight, but it was a later show, this is in Finland the end of July, it stays light quite late. Same tour with a similar setlist as Wembley. But this is outdoors , with about 20k in the crowd. Think there are only 2 songs here that you haven't heard at all yet. Shudder ..opened both shows, great opening track.

Nightwish Wednesdays + Nikki = perfection!! Suggestion for next concert once Tampere is done - Deichbrand 2022. Hellfest is good too, but IMO the quality on Deichbrand is better.
I think that sound around 6:30 was a “hammer hitting anvil” sound effect that Tuomas was triggering on the keyboard. You can see him kinda doing a little flourish with his hand.
Other full concert options are Islanders Arms (Virtual World) from 2021, Hellfest from 2022 and Deichbrand, also from 2022.

Whatever you want next, it would be amazing for sure. End of an Era is an immortal classic, undoubtedly. Although, as the new album approaches, I still think it would be worth it (and perhaps more suitable) to try newer stuff, maybe.. As already mentioned by some friends here, there is an incredible presentation from Deichbrand 2022 in Germany, or perhaps Hellfest 2022 from France, both with incredible renditions of some songs from the latest album that we haven't had on the channel yet!
Either way, lets have a blast! Thanks as always!

We love watching Nightwish with You Nikki - Does not matter if it's a first time reaction or just enjoy music together.
The keyboard/guitar solo battle between Tuomas and Emppu is a battle for the ages 😆🤘And that breakdown, when the mist starts shooting out from behind them, is almost as epic as in the Wembley version.
Awesome seeing you get to Tampere Tues...er, Wednesdays! This is a very special concert. Some of their best performances, but also very special for the band (their home turf) and for Floor (with her parents there). The end of this concert is going to blow your mind, but there's a lot of awesome stuff to enjoy before then! I've been looking forward to this one, so can't wait to enjoy it with you. 👍🤟
Great NW reaction again N. - As commented earlier, the summer nights in Finland are very bright and further north in the country (Lapland) the sun does not set at all. So even though it looks like it's daytime, Nightwish took the stage after two warm-up bands at 9 PM.

Just to point out a few things here starting with the fact that her parents are ar the front watching their daughter perform.
It was included in a documentary about her revisit to the Music Academy she attended.
She takes the interviewer down memory lane and eventually to Retina Stadium where they were going to perform this show.
The second thing is, you said they looked so happy! Well, this band thrives on entertaining the masses and sometimes it seems there is no greater joy for them.
However, for Tuomas it's all about the compositions he offers the world. He kinda frowns on being praised as a musician and says don't go crazy about meeting ME, just appreciate the music, it's all about connecting with the music, not the musicians.
3rd- On a stylish note...
Floor is wearing unicorn heels. See if you catch a shot of them during the show.
About the sound...
I did mention that the sound levels on the shows are not always the same. Tuomas does add or take away certain things on some songs.... like the sound you pointed out during the break. Yes, the "hammer hitting the anvil" sound was a bit louder on this one which I do like.
Also, Floor's backup vocal tracks can be heard better as well.
This show is awesome, you're in for a treat!

Excellent reaction on an excellent show, glad you are doing this one. Did you know Floor's parent were there at that moment (along with Dutch television making an item for a tv show about Floor's musicschool period, called "klasgenoten" = classmates).

With Nightwish in particular, I think its important that you watch and listen to different versions. No two performances are the same and the variations all add something you may have missed

Hi Nikki! Yes, love Nightwish Wed, glad it's back! And love this Tampere concert - it's so very well produced and the band looks and sounds great. And there's something about them playing on their home turf that makes it even cooler, and knowing that Floor's folks made the trip up there for this show.
And by all means yes to End of An Era also please. And hey, why not also From Wishes to Eternity? (so impressive that such young people produced such cool music!) And there is, I've found, some good live footage with Annette that shouldn't be forgotten (suggesting: Nightwish with Anette - Live At Exit Festival (Serbia,Vojvodina,Novi Sad,Petrovaradin). And while I personally cannot get enough of Floor ❤😊, I just think it's good to get the entire history of this band - all of their albums I think are important, as are all of the band's ridiculously talented members, past and present. It wouldn't be Nightwsh without everyone's contributions from both past and present. So that's my 2 cents worth. Have a great one! 😊✌🤘❤

I was gonna comment on this after giving lovely Nikki a lovely like,and then electricity got shut off due to maintenance for like 7 1/2 hours. I guess after the winter,making sure all the lines are in good shape,and changing old equipment with new equipment,so i get it. Still frustrating to have it shut off without forewarnings,they used to send out those in the past,at least 1 day ahead. But on theyr website it says that they stopped doing it for whatever reason..... Not exactly super healthy for PC and such to be shut off like that,so i wish they brought it back.
Anyway,this is defintly one of those powerful Nightwish songs,it just seems like the "top tempo" never stops on this one,and i love it. If anything,it gets HEAVIER! 5:35
And our metal Queen (some might even say Goddess) is leading the crowd effortlessly,if anyone was born a natural leader its Floor.
Love her beyond any other male or female vocalists,wich you know all too well Nikki. I tend to go on repeat in these comment sections haha.
People arent kidding when they say Nightwish is like Royalty level in popularity,you can sence it from this crowd in Tampere! They are lifting the band to another level.
You can see it on every member too,theyre pumped with energy from the crowd. Even calm and collected Troy is rocking out in the shadows 👀

This was recorded in Finland. The sun stays up longer there the further north you go in the summer. This show was on July 31, 2015.
Tampere 2015 was the best concert for me, the sound and video quality is better than Wacken 2013. From this show The Greatest show on Earth is an absolute must; it’s the best performance of it that’s ever been made. Yeah, Floor is the Queen of chills, or should I say Floorgasms 😂.
As always your analysis and reaction was great to watch, great to see Nightwish come back on a regular basis. Soon be time for more The Warning, when the new album drops…………
Yeah I do remember Wacken quality not being the best. 🤔 And Floorgasms! 😂 That still makes me laugh. 😜 And of course more Warning to come - both them AND Nightwish are gonna have a new album? 😱

124 Spider here....This concert took place at night, but in Finland half the year the nights are not dark, they have sunlight.
At that time of the year, it don't get much darker - because of where Tampere is located.😊

Hey Nikki, so glad you come back to NW. I remember the time where you strongly said - no more than 3 songs from a band and then move on - LOL. I have just seen The Warning in UK, their opening band was "Conquer and Divide" - Do the same "Conquer and Divide" - please do the Tampere show first, and then move on to End of Era. In between, you could do "Floor Jansen - (English&Finnish Subtitles) Interview and Reportage From Tampere [De Reunie](NPO 1)" czcams.com/video/B3NIfu0qvtg/video.html - which is a great way to know Floor better, and it has english (and finnish) subtitles.
To me you already did this tour. It has the same set list as Wembley that's why I vote for end of an era or Hellfest 2022 and get some new songs for you to hear.

Hi there Nikki! And hello from Finland. I had my 45th Birthday on 30th of April. I love this song, the music video is great also on this song.
I would do either Tampere 2015, or from Decades tour their South American concert. Songs that they play in South America are somewhat different setlist wise. So like if you saw I want my Tears back or Dead boy's Poem then you most likely saw those from S-American four. Nothing wrong with End of an era tour, but I'd like you to save it for next concert review.
Also tell your family and husband lot's of love and hugs from Finland. Naantali is name of the city I live in. 180 kilometers from Tampere where this concert was held.
I also was there, in middle of the crowd pretty much. Catwalk was straight ahead of me, and I was in row 19-21. It differed during concert. 😂❤️🇫🇮

No matter which concert you decide to watch next, they are all great. For me Tampere is better as a whole than Wembley or Buenos Aires, but they all have something exclusive in them. If you want to check out older Nightwish, "End Of An Era" (2005) or "From Wishes To Eternity" (2000) are the official DVD's, and then there are tons of other amazing concerts too.

You should really do end of an era. I was hoping it would come first. There aren’t really many new songs for you on this concert, even though it’s a great concert. End of an era has so many great songs you haven’t heard yet, covers, and ghost love score with Tarja. I’m hoping we don’t have to wait too long for you to see it. You only have 2 new songs on this concert. In end of an era you have TEN including covers.
Don’t get me wrong, I am so happy Nightwish Wednesday is back. There’s so much more for you to enjoy, the old stuff, newer concerts, latest album, and the new album coming in September! I just wish there was Nightwish Tuesday, Thursday, Friday , etc. 😁
Nikki, if you want to stick with Floor after this concert and hear some newer songs, I recommend the Nightwish live at the islanders arms concert. After their current album came out at the start of the lockdown, they did an online concert with green screen, and this was the first time new songs off the album were performed live. Of course, there are other concerts with an audience with a similar set list, but I think the quality is very good on this one, and the effects are awesome.

I understand why you like Nightwish, but I don’t understand why so few reactors choose to give Therion a try as they started the symphonic metal genre and are still one of the best groups performing it.
