I bought an older model of the green star juicer second hand, I was having a really difficult time with it when it came to juicing fruits and cucumbers, it just got clogged and backed up instantly.. the greens juiced very well though and the pulp was so dry compared to other slow press juicers I’ve used in the past
John, if you had to pick between the Greenstar pro and the greenstar 5, which would you choose? I can’t decide! Either is fine but I want the best. Thank you!
I really liked the green star elite, but you’re right, if you have health issues, it’s tough to use, but the juice quality is better than the Nama J2 which I currently have. However, the Nama does all the work for you.

I own the previous generation. Amazing juicer and super tasteful.
Same I love my Greenstar pro, but disappointed in Tribest for releasing a new machine instead of just altering the augur casing with the new seals.
@@jazzskunk91yeah, mine is 14 years old. no need for an upgrade yet. But for the future, I rather look at a Nama as its faster to juice

I live in New England and wanted to save as much on produce as possible. I'm not sure if the single plastic auger would work as well as the stainless steel ones.
But the convenience of the J2 does make me want it as a backup.

Hey John I wish Tribest would develop a replacement gear casing with gasket for the greenstar pro. It makes no sense for me to upgrade just for that feature.

John if there is a vacuum juicing fan. I haven’t used my Greenstar pro due to difficulty in pushing produce through.
This is like the super angel.
I’ve had two Greenstar, juices À 39:14 couple years ago. I bought the pro model, but I wish I didn’t too much work for maybe the little more juice you get out of it cleaning and juicing is a lot more work, all the new juices are much easier to work and clean in my opinion, Greenstar is losing a lot of business to the other juices And soon may be gone unless they completely changed the juicing method !!

❤hi John, honestly I have big concerns metal on metal. Metals are difficult to get out of body…plastic is just as bad too.. however, they come out of the body very easily, and they don’t cause brain problems or memory problems.

Can it be shipped to New Zealand and how about the customer service ?
The reason they didn’t put an o-ring on the plunger is because they don’t want people forcing and jamming juice and produce down the chute any faster than the machine can process it. Any juice that backs up into the chute is because things are being fed in too quickly. An o-ring would force juice into the gears and screen and would saturate the very pulp that the machine is trying to get dry.
What juices better on pomegranates the GreenStar 5 or the sana 727? What does a better job.?which one of these juice machine’s is easier
To use?
from the green star 5 manual: Fruits with hard seeds like grapes with seeds, pomegranates, avocado, and cherries may not be used with the pits inside. So theoretically Tribest does not want you to juice pomegranates, the juicer will work REALLY well, and turn the seed into "sawdust" but the problem is it will harden before it comes out, making something resembling pressboard, and has potential to block the pulp from coming out, causing excess stress on the parts that may cause breakage. So use the Sana 727 :)
Hey John you didn’t show inside to see if the new housing prevent juice to flow into the motor body
Tribest already tested that before the release of this. This is part of quality control that they tested many times over. This will not allow juice to flow into the motor body.
the feed chute housing that the gears are inserted to is the part part that prevents juice from flowing onto the motor body. I did show it as well as the two small gaskets that prevent juice from flowing onto the motor.
John, I try to find out about this magnetic and ceramic technology, I can't find any supporting studies. Seems like a wild claim to me, knowing something of magnetism the only thing a magnet would have any effect over is iron and it would tend to draw the iron towards it and accumulate on the gears. Just doesn't add up. That being said it looks like a nice design and unbeatable warranty, though saving a few bucks on the bs magnetic stuff would be nice.

Do you use vacuum mason jar sealers? I just purchased one from Amazon and it’s doing an amazing job I believe. I seen you still use the pump over the electric if I’m not mistaken can you please advise why?
I do vacuum mason jars with a manual pump as it can pull a deep vacuum than an electric one.
@@discountjuicers Also, if it makes sense, you can heat the contents (not enough to denature things) and then pull the vacuum. When it cools to room temperature, you have an even stronger vacuum (this is roughly the principle of canning). But be careful, you can go too far...say you want to preserve wheat germ as much as possible and you slightly heat the wheat germ, pull the strongest vacuum you can, then put the jar in the freezer you may exceed the jar's strength. Jars are all over the place in terms of strength. It'd be fun to see how much it takes to implode a jar.
Looks nice but I still do prefer Super Angel juicer. Hands down the best for one

so it seems the main difference between this and the greenstar pro is that the accessory parts are more durable and that the juice doesnt get on the back motor part? and better overall outer design?
Main differences:
1. New Look
2. Stronger Juicer Parts that surround/hold gears
3 gasket to prevent juice/pulp on motor body/easier to clean
4. Larger feed chute
5. better balanced handle
6. built in drip tray
From what I am being told, the Pro has the SAME motor, but a fan on it to keep it cool, this model has no fan.
If you have the pro, there is not a strong reason to upgrade, as yield should be the same.
I’m looking for my next juicer. Been quite a few years and had a cheapish centrifugal one. I’ve been looking at the Nama j2, green star pro or 5 when it comes to the UK or hurom m100 or Nama c2 again when it comes to the UK

Hi John, I am a long time follower. A few years back, on your advice I purchased the Greenstar Pro. Now, am ready to get either the Nama or the Kuvings on your code. I don't mind paying a few extra bucks for the larger container. I watched your comparison. But can't make up my mind between the two. Mainly, I'm switching for the time and effort saving. I'm a bit hesitant about the Kuvings as you said its not tried and tested as much. But that's what I'm leaning toward. Hard call. Which is your advice for me to go with. Kuvings or Nama?
Honestly, If I were to buy one or the other, and The Kuvings was not on the crazy 30% off black Friday (long gone now) and paying the regular price less 10% coupon codes that I mention, I personally would buy the Nama J2 over the Kuvings Auto10. Hope this helps.

can anyone give me some hint on how to clean the plastic parts when use tumeric for juicing? i have the Pro model, and its very hard to remove, even with the stainless steel jumbo gears. the plastic parts become orange and its hard to clean and turn them white again. the cleaning brush is not white anymore, the residues of the tumeric got stuck on it. Thank you

How does the juice quality compare to a vacuum blender?

Hi John, How fast sould you drink. Lets say one glass for the day should it be like drink it in1 hour?
There’s no rule as to how fast you should drink your juice. If you want to drink the glassful at once then go for it. If you want to split it up then go for it. You’ll be far better off to not worry about it trivial matters.
Do it at the speed that feels right to you. I do recommend you "chew your juice" and pretend chew and mix it with saliva to ensure better digestion. I usually drink a quart in 10-40 minutes depending on the day and what else I am doing.

Unfortunately, John cannot comment on Angel juicer at this time and therefore cannot make any recommendations.
I do not recommend Angel Juicers. It is a long story. Mainly due to the company itself. They sued me so I have to remove the video where I shared my story about it.

It is true that some of parts on the super old machines did crack, this was corrected in the green star elite, green star pro and now green star 5 from what I am aware.

If you are talking about the potential for metal shavings getting into the juice, this does not happen. Tribest has tested for this as part of quality control measures. The metal on the twin gears are of the same hardness and resistance, therefore nullifying the potential for one scratching the other.
I’ve had a greenstar I find my angel miles better
I own an Angel juicer too and it is simply the best juicer out there. Certainly not the easiest to clean, but not bad. Not the fastest either. But as for juice yield and quality nothing beats it. It grinds better than any other juicer as well, which makes the extraction process that much more effective. Not even a Pure juicer grinds as well as the Angel and I’ve seen side by side comparisons on CZcams demonstrating greater yields from the Angel over the Pure, even with fruits and definitely with vegetables and leafy greens.
