    For my 85mm quad I use 2 (300mah 4.35v 30C/60C BETAFPV) batteries in parallel so the quad can handle twice the amps under 1S and I usually get over 4 mins of battery outdoors even on moderate wind.

    That flew by quick. Dam your a good pilot. Those were all great flights to watch. Your skills keep improving. What a sick playground you have . Omg. I like that whoop.

    Two tiny whoop quads go round the outside. So is the 8.5mm whoop your favorite backyard flyer?

    • @Micro-motor-warehouse
      @Micro-motor-warehouse  Před 6 lety

      Well, its a tough race between 7x16 and 8.5x20. I would not give up one for the other. The larger is a lot faster, but the smaller is more nimble, more precise, easier to fly.

    Love the Kookaburras! Next step in cameras isn't the Runcam Nano as seen here previously. Any other contenders in the works?

      Insane laughing birds are fun ;)
      The FX T80 isnt too bad (better image), but is heavier, more expensive, and has no vTx, compared to a VM2751 (as per this video).
      Not really excited about the T80, but I will make a video about it when I run out of other stuff..

    How do you charge all those batteries?

    • @Micro-motor-warehouse
      @Micro-motor-warehouse  Před 5 lety

      I have a lot of chargers ;)
      A stack of X4 Micro chargers and a Turnigy 4x6S with 6-way serial adapters are my work horses, that allows to charge 40 1S packs independently at once.

    @cccagley5276 Před 6 lety

    I have acquired and flown 0615, 0716, 0720 & 08.5x20 setups with various flight contollers & batteries. By far, MY favorite in terms of flight quality & duration is the 0716 setup with 250mah HV lipo's.
    In my experience, 07x20 thru 08.5x20 sizes are less nimble, have much shorter flight times and yield hot motors.
    In this case bigger doesn't necessarily mean better.

    • @Micro-motor-warehouse
      @Micro-motor-warehouse  Před 6 lety

      You should try 8.0x20mm on 600mAh batteries. That flies longer than any of the other combos, motors stay cool. Still a lot less nimble than 7x16.

      Haha, sorry! I have fixed it in all my current setting files (set max batt voltage to 4.4) so this wont happen again when I have reflashed this quad.

      Micro Motor Warehouse why don’t you sell parts for the hubsan h502e anymore ??

    • @Micro-motor-warehouse
      @Micro-motor-warehouse  Před 6 lety +2

      We did not sell enough 2S coreless motors to make an ongoing production viable. If you go 2S, it really makes more sense to go brushless, otherwise your part selection is very limited.

      Micro Motor Warehouse well im just getting into drone only been flying for a few month & only done fpv for a few weeks , I have the dm002 & a few furibee f36s that I strapped on some LST 800tvl 25mw cameras to and they are fun for what it offers a cheap alternative to the real tinywhoops but they are just a camera and a micro quad , I want more I want the OSD that the tinywhoop offers and everything else and the big and proper TX with all kinds of buttons that I can actually hold in my hands normally , the furibee remote looks like its for kids haha its so tiny , can you recommend a good beginner Tx & a flight controller with osd & maybe even recommend a good AIO camera with osd , After playing with these toys and learning how to fly I need to get myself THE REAL DEAL and build a real tinywhoop . Thanks, btw I am looking for a smooth flyer that I can get the longest flight times from so idk if I will need 0615 0617 or even 0715 - 0720 motors , im not sure what is the best combo

      Hey Hunter, a Taranis Q X7 is a very low cost (just above $100) transmitter that has more than enough features to fly multirotors.
      It runs OpenTX, and you will need to spend some time learning how to use it, but then its a very powerful tool. I use mine every day, even though I own more elaborative TXs.
      The best whoop FC with OSD I found so far is a variant of the BetaFPV F3, combined with the VM2751 camera.
      For the longest flight times, I recommend either 7x16mm motors with 255mAh batteries (3 minutes) or 8x20mm motors with 600mAh batteries (5 minutes).
      We are offering the FC/cam, the body kits and batteries here:

    The voltage drop is pretty good on this one. Bigger battery needed? Nice flying as usual my friend:)

    • @Micro-motor-warehouse
      @Micro-motor-warehouse  Před 6 lety

      I think bigger battery will be too heavy. Two-bladed props (or in general more efficient props) seem like the way forward, but I have found any yet..
      With slower (0820-15) motors, voltage drop is more reasonable.

    • @variousthings6582
      @variousthings6582 Před 6 lety

      I saw some two bladed props on Amazon but I believe those were for the 31mm size. It will be interesting to see what the ideal setups for these end up being. Happy flying:)

    • @Micro-motor-warehouse
      @Micro-motor-warehouse  Před 6 lety

      Yes, 31mm and also 40mm has some good prop option.
      8.5mm needs larger props to get to good efficiency.
      If nothing comes out soon, I might end up cutting down some larger props to 48mm ;)

    My fiancée just ordered a set of the 18000kv 8520's for me for my birthday. I can't wait to destroy some packs with them!

  • @adammadron2080
    @adammadron2080 Před 6 lety

    Two 8mm whoops go round the outside, round the outside :D Ghost branches are the worst! Had me worried when you ran into the corner of the house and bounced off the tree, I thought the stick was coming out. How many times have you had to knock on the neighbors door to get one of your whoops back? haha

    • @Micro-motor-warehouse
      @Micro-motor-warehouse  Před 6 lety +1

      Yeah, the stick almost came out ;)
      I have never crashed onto a neighbors roof (at least not so that it stayed on the roof..), and as you might have seen, there are no fences left and right, and the mentality here is as such. My neighbors have no problem with me flying or hiking through the bottom parts of their properties. They are not using it anyway. Its not like a yard, more like a piece of jungle that they have responsibility but no need for.
      The flight path in this video was so boring, because I wanted to keep it as consistent as possible between packs, and because I try to stay above the places where I can walk to the easiest ;)

    Hey Benedikt, thanks for the info! Very interesting as always. I wanted to ask, you fly with Dominator V3 goggles?

    • @Micro-motor-warehouse
      @Micro-motor-warehouse  Před 6 lety

      You mean me? :)
      Yes, Im using Dom v3 goggles in this video. I prefer my Cinemizer OLEDs for their picture quality, but the Fatsharks are more practical, because they have a removable battery and a fan. Its so humid here most days that my Cinemizers fog up quickly.

    • @RockTouching
      @RockTouching Před 6 lety

      Yeah the fan is a must have for humid climates. When there is no risk of fogging I use the rubber eyecups for fatsharks, I find them more comfortable than the faceplate. Sorry I got your name wrong haha, it's late here.

    Dang, chief, how do you find lost quads hoping there?! Lol

    • @Micro-motor-warehouse
      @Micro-motor-warehouse  Před 6 lety +1

      Three main strategies:
      1. spatial awareness: remember where it crashes, there it will be
      2. follow the signal: using a spectrum analyser and a directional antenna, I will always find it when its still transmitting
      3. persistence: just dont give up. If I loose one, I will keep searching until I find it.

    I had 3 mounts shear straight off of the beta75s (8mm motors) frame. Great frame but seems like a definite weak point.

    What do you think of the betafpv batteries?
    Built a brushless whoop 2S recently, lucky to run a 4 minute flight.
    Any chance of selling them in the near future in micro motor warehouse?

    • @Micro-motor-warehouse
      @Micro-motor-warehouse  Před 6 lety

      Yeah, the BetaFPV batteries are OK, although also very overstated.
      Not sure if I want to trade them - probably not.
      I do have some very nice 2S mylipos though, 400mAh (20g) and 480 (30g), which perform exactly as advertised.
      Have a look here: micro-motor-warehouse.com/collections/2s-batteries
      Most setups will not get you 4 minutes of flight time. The best way I found to get more than 4 minutes are CL-8020-14 motors and 600mAh batteries. Recently got a 6 minute flight out of that setup ;)

    • @calv83
      @calv83 Před 6 lety

      Also waiting for you guys to restock the 600mah :-)

      @Micro-motor-warehouse  Před 6 lety

      We still have some 600s in stock in the US. If you are in Australia, it will take another 2-3 week until we get more batteries here!

      It might take a while for more batts to arrive here.
      I do have a few other packs though that you might be interested in, which are not on the site.
      Let me know what your plans are, and I will see what I have ;)
