He got some stick for his hair but he knew how to work a radio studio. Always so tight with the jingles and love the top 10 at 10 jingle over the great music/great city jingle at 4'25. Such memories of when it really was the station to listen to. A real shadow of its former self now.

Really great memories of Capital Radio and later Capital FM.
Absolutely superb back in the 80s and 90s.

I remember the Pat and Mick days, then this. I was about 14 in 1989 and used to listen to him on a Friday night doing the 7-10 slot. He was the first to play ‘Mary’s Prayer’ and songs by ‘Liberty Town’, Brother Beyond and Waterfront, Breathe, Johnny Hates Jazz and Climie Fisher… those were the days… miss them

KISS 100 and capital are pretty much the same now its sad. kiss used to play proper dance stuff and reggae, capital used to be so.. dramatic!

Used to love Capital for the pop. Kiss for the dance/hip hop. But damn, Choice FM was for all the smooth grooves of the 90’s/2000’s…

@@voice.of.reason It's the same 8 dry tracks 12x before Lunch. I only really have to endure it at work but haven't had to recently.
I do give them props for Banter and phone-ins find my laughing but it's the same JARRING music on a playlist tighter than a fly's arse. I'm more into throwback stations and No Repeat 9 to 5.
