But, after saw me playing RE4 somewhere in 2006, her perception towards video games has changed 360 degrees. Now, I am a father of four and it is an honor for me to play this legendary game again using PS4 in front of my children😌

I had the GameCube version when it was first released and exclusive for most of 2005. It felt good that I was the practically the first guy in my street being everybody I knew only had PS2 or Xbox to play it first. This game is now a gem to have and a must own on any console even if it is a last gen.

Anyone else love seeing the merchants blue light after a really hard part or seeing the lists updated signs? Theory on the merchant is that he’s been infected with the virus but is immune to it so the villagers thing he’s infected, look closely at his eyes, the eyes of infection, but he’s normal.
I have such a bigger theory in him but I don’t wanna make a huge comment
Not "virus", actually a parasite called plaga. There are some plaga types known as master. They do not effect their host's behavior and free will. I know, that T-Virus in RE film series shows plaga symptoms as well but those are film makers' choice. Not related to game's T-Virus. In game, those features belongs plaga and plaga based other bioweapons.
Also infection with a clear symptom does not mean you are immune. İf you have different symptoms or lacking some of them just mean that the infection inside you has a distinct route than usual due to some factors like genetic structure, drugs you take etc. Think Alice. She bonds with T-Virus without high brain necrosis and decomposition of skin. She is infected but virus just give her licker alike super powers; not a zombie's or licker's wild animalistic behavior and appearence.
Probably merchant carries a master plaga same as Krauser and Lord Saddler have. So eyes are orange but no zombification. He is not immune, he seems very lucky. Maybe he stole that master sample from Saddler? Who knows lol? :)

I could never play this game but I sure did try... I’ve watched my brother play all the time since he replays it maybe every year or two, as we found it as the only good version. I would deal with parts he didn’t like, like the dogs in the garden or the giant because they used to scare him. I did this when I was 6, maybe 7 or 8, he was either 8, 9 or 10 at that time. We played this in our wii and I can’t explain how much I love watching him. It’s not even the same watching a CZcams video of it lol. He’s unlocked that outfit, he’s beaten the game 6 times to get this ray gun thing that doesn’t need reloading or anything and he’s also holding one of the best positions on speed running the game. Idk I just kinda loved watching him and he’s gotten so good at it. The only thing he ever really found difficult was the regenerators thingys but I helped him and he got them dealt with pretty quick. And yeah that dog is gonna help him on the giant.

how far did you get, i could kill everyone in the first chapter only using a knife.. i would often discard my hand gun or purposly use a nade so i have no side arm

Wow this vid is giving me great tips! Like shooting anywhere below the waist is an amazing strategy since it either knocks them out or gets them on their knees, so you can kick then stab.

The hit-box is specifically the enemies' forelegs. If you hit their feet, thighs, or groin the enemies will not go into the kneeling position that is needed to do melee prompts. The knees are a bit of a gray zone; too high on the knee and it counts as the thigh, but low enough and it'll count as the foreleg (I think it's based on polygons), so I always aim for the shins (or head) to be sure. On easier difficulty settings, hitting enemies anywhere below the waist, especially if they're running, may result in them falling to a lying down position, but when I play on Normal, I always try to keep the adaptive difficulty on the higher side of the Normal scale; the inconsistency and fewer enemies of the lower side annoy me. Professional is nice for not letting the difficulty drop to inconsistent things like changed gameplay mechanics. I prefer getting melee prompt attacks, since during automated actions (melee attacks, jumping down/through something, etc.), you have invincibility frames and can do things like using a weak enemy to get invincibility frames to avoid a one-hit-kill attack like Dr. Salvador's chainsaw.

I just recently bought a PS4 Pro. RE4 and RE5 are getting delivered today. The funny thing is I've played and completed both 100% on PC and every console they've been released on since their original release dates many, many times. Not to mention over 1,000 hours combined playing Mercenaries modes. Why do I do this to myself when there's so many other great games out there? I guess I'm just a full time resident of the Evil!
