AWESOME IDEA .. someone with a chair company reach out to this man and sponsor him is a chair ...it will be awesome idea to have the bear speak about and reveiw the chair and you'll be helping him out ...
Glad it is all coming together! Just another learning experience. Maybe a sponsor will come forth for a full-time VanLifer….others out there will see a great review for your wheelchair Company ‼️‼️. Stay safe 😎❤️
Over a thousand dollars ?!!! ... whoah !!! That's CRAZY ! JEEEZ, ain't we all having extra trouble recently , holy smokes ! Love ya my awesome friend ! ❤ Stay hydrated !!!
Oh man, that chair that was given to you probably cost between 10-15k, so a $1k to fix is good considering what you’ve put it through. I have a few suggestions from my experience with mobility equipment. For showering, get a poncho to cover the chair as an added measure. Also get a 2-3 foot pvc pipe, cap it and fasten it on the chair and put your pickup tool in it. My husband used to carry his cane in his. That way you can push the chair back a bit further. And as an added bonus a 4 wheel scooter might be more appropriate for what you want to do OR they have those attachments for regular wheelchairs that convert your manual chair into a bike. Ive seen people use these in winter. Good luck with your fix.
It’s +35c here in Saskatchewan. Luckily I have central air conditioning. You could definitely benefit from getting a custom made power wheel chair best suited for your needs and road/weather conditions. Wishing you all the best. ❤
Medical assistance products are ridiculously expensive. Got a back-up manual chair for my son 15 or so years back. The seat cushion was listed in the invoice at 700.00 (US)! For a 18"x18"x4" chunk of fabric covered foam. Unbelievable.
Hi Jeffey 🐻🙂; Sorry your wheel chair had to be repaired! Its great you can get out & about st least now untill your other ones repaired!🙂Hang in there & Keep your wonderful positive attitude! You're an amazing person! ; Great Video! 🤗👍; Thank You For Sharing! ❤️🫂See You Soon 🙂
Wow at those prices, definitely something worth learning how to fix for yourself. Hope you get a sponsor - your adventure spirit and willingness to test the limits would definitely inspire others to get one and go out and have adventures too. ❤😊
I've seen some shades that help, but they might be difficult to set up. I wonder if you could get an awning like Brent has. Maybe a solar panel rack could help with the roof and create an air gap.
The heat sucks! It's been 40°C here in Eugene, OR USA for the past few days. My timer has popped and I'm so done! It looks like you're getting a chair. There are wonderful people out there in the world. Peace, man. ✌️💙🤗
Its 42 C here.... wanna come visit??? lol Love the self portrait at opening hahahaa 🤣😅😂😂 HOLY SHEEEEEET JB what they hell is goin on with these ppl who repair !! THats just a crime!! SERIOUSLY contact a wheelchair company for exactly what you suggested !! "Love yous" !!
The wheelchair companies charge big bucks for parts. Vendors generally don’t make money on repairs, only their time. At least that is true in the States. Power wheelchairs for the kids I used to treat (I’m a PT) would be $20k-40k! More if they were specialized controls.
Love your camel brother buddy Jeffie!! Gorgeous!! Jeffie, I know he's in the US, but do you follow Cole Sydner of "Roll With Cole and Charisma".. How about getting in touch with him. He has been in a chair since a tragic diving accident at 16 yrs of age. They are deep into all things in regard to rehab, accessibility for chairs, enabling wheelchair bound individuals to live their lives to the fullest. Getting about wherever. They travel to so many places trying their best to improve the lives of those in your situation. They may have contacts in Canada and possibly could help you, have some ideas, re your chair. 👍🤞🍀 🙋🏼♀️💌 🚐 🌏🧭
I read that Medicare gives wheelchairs with the type of diagnosis he has. Please call them they also fix them.like I said I don’t know if you have Medicare Insurance like we do in the USA. Good luck ✌️✌️💙💙
Amazon has a number of controllers for $100 USD and they all come with plug in connectors. If one of those would work on your chair, wouldn't that be nice.
Sorry to hear about your wheelchair woes. It sounds like they're giving you the insurance/ government prices Be glad you're not here in Las Vegas, it's 120°(49°C)
That sounds like price gouging to me but what do I know? It did give me an idea about building chairs for "off roading " If only my 7ncke were still with us. I know he could design one.
Hello Jeff does your Walmart have those electric wheelchair at the front door when you go into Walmart.I know that seems like alot of money to fix the controller.Wow.I love watching your videos❤❤❤
To those people that commented about your manual chair, screw them. Try doing that. Just once. It ain't easy. Unless they roll in manual chair they should keep their opinions to themself. Honey you do you? ❤️
There's a guy on CZcams that builds wheelchairs and give them away for free.Maybe you can get in touch with him or somebody That watches your channel can get in touch with him
That is ridiculous! I think I would have tried somewhere else. I’m sure that’s easy for me to say, but I would not have been able to afford that. I don’t own a credit card. It just seems absolutely cruel cost that much. I’m glad you shared it! did you say it was Costco or did I misunderstand?
Holy crap Jeffie!! Thats expensive!! Couldn’t we have just ordered a controller and done it ourselves? At least we know now what part needs to be replaced, id try and hunt down that controller before I accepted that order.
That wheelchair was given to him almost brand new. They are very expensive and they need to be service often. I tried telling him they not made for dirt road or snow.✌️✌️✌️
@anacleta424 then what’s one supposed to do when living one’s life on his own. I’m not ready to give up and not live life and I refuse to stay in my room during winter months etc so please if you would tell me how to continue living life? 😊
Speaking from experience, I watch my hubby give up mobility and making decisions about when to go somewhere on his own. His wheelchair is the saving grace. But his weight and awkwardness has cost him several repairs and upgrades. It seems that these chairs are made to have problems. Please do not judge Jeffie Bear. He is trying to live his life.
@@jeffiebear007 please every one The heat is not going to last for ever Just travel to a nice campground and stay there til the weather gets better to travel. Please you all took it the wrong way ✌️you all have a good day.

Oh I'm very aware of these insane abusive costs. Saw it in hospital care and home care...greed is what it is!
@vickiesweitzer8625 At $100/hour for labor when they have you over a barrel, yeah, they certainly are making money making repairs!
You are amazing! Keep traveling.
Yeah!
Where are your sunglasses!!
Jeffie, have you seen the motorised single wheel contraption that attaches to your manual wheel chair and drives you around?
I think I have at the auto show however he couldn’t tell me much he was taken it for a spin first time.
