My son is being married in September 2023 and i looked for months for the perfect song with the perfect words. Most beautiful song.
Melissa: I was a single mom of three from before my youngest, my son, turned 2 years old. After my daughters went to college, my son and I had 7 years together. We are close, and I am so proud of the godly man he has become. He is 24 now, and on Saturday (9-24-22) he married a wonderful Christian woman. I chose this song for our dance; it really said everything I wanted to say to him. Thank you for putting words to the song of my heart for this special day of celebration. He has indeed been a wonderful gift from God and I pray he and his new wife have many yers of joy in serving Jesus together.

I always spend a lot of time talking to God when I write. I remember when He gave me the words toward the end of the song. I wanted to put some lyrics back in that I had to take out when I was rewriting but I also wanted to “let go” of my son as I ended the song. When those lyrics came together I was a sobbing mess as one of the moms said! I knew I had captured what I had set out to write! One of my sons recently got married and with the help of my oldest son, (who is an IT guy) we surprised everybody (NOBODY knew we were doing this) with this song and personal video for the groom-mother dance. Then my son, the groom, broke his leg 2 days before his wedding! Sad to say, it worked out good for everybody to listen and watch the video. Not a dry eye in the place! I am a wedding dj and LOVE hearing new songs specific to moments that can create memories. i wanted to buy this song....and tried. i got 2 choices.....one isnt avalable and the other is a mass artist site that makes things difficult. really a shame. i would have promoted this. encouraged people, hey listen to this. who ever is managing you...is a moron.
