- I played I Can't Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt at St Pancras just before Valentine's Day. If you are lucky to have someone, then cherish them - but whatever your situation, with or without someone, it's important to cherish yourself. I could have chosen many songs for Valentine's Day, but I thought this was a great song too, and not the usual ones you might hear. It's also brilliant that @thebonnieraitt won a Grammy for Song of the Year 2023 for Just Like That - shows that a great song is about the the lyrics, the feelings and the connections it makes.
Also, I love how music can stop you in your tracks, whether it's for the whole piece, or for a brief moment. For a brief moment in time, you can share a connection without even knowing. Like the lady with the flowers - was it for herself, for someone else, or from someone else - who knows? A brief moment, shared.

This song is so heartwrenching. You can love someone with all the love in the world and they want nothing to do with you. That's how you break your own heart.
Cole. your interpretation and playing style of this song gave me goosebumps and brought me to tears. Your playing always stops me in my tracks. Even if I'm an ocean away. You are a gift to us all.

Maybe we can't make one particular person love us. Music can make that necessary momentary connection so that love has a chance to emerge between us all. I open myself to be able to love everyone - even if i don't always like how a person presents themselves. Love has no boundaries, no distinctions. It doesn't have to be romantic. It can be between any two or more people. We surely need to love ourselves, too. I love you, Cole, and admire many things about you, especially the artistic, poetic, loving person that you are.

Thanks Cole, This is a beautiful piece. I remember thinking that when I was with you on that day. I am not familiar with this song but like so many people have said, it clearly did touch a number of people. They may have only stopped for a short while but it might just have caught them in the moment and just made them want to listen. Well Done !!

Again, you went back and dug up a great, slightly older song and made it your own. Upon first going back and listening to the original song and Adele's version, I wondered how you could make it wonderful on the piano. Of course, that was dumb because you did your usual by hitting a "YES." And again, you displayed your old mind by advising your young followers to love yourself so you can love somebody else. It was nice to see your Dad's image slightly reflected in the piano. Just a great production overall.
