- Hello everyone, I get a lot of questions about this couch, my honest review about it is that it's an amazing couch, I love it and I'm planning to continue to grow with it. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask down below.

Thanks for the video. I'm looking at an ikea couch as there are three flights of steep stairs into my new apartment so it would be great to be able to bring the boxes in one at a time and disassemble it when I leave. It was very helpful to see you pull it apart and I love that the covers are machine washable.

Amazing you could take it apart and put it together yourself. I just got the new finnala which is the old vimel... but having such a hard time attaching the hooks for the sectional part - and tricks?

I'm in the process of choosing a couch _based on_ how easy it is to clean or replace the covers; I have 3 long hair cats, and both fur and hairballs are inevitable, so instead of being mad about that I just want something that makes that not a big deal! I have been thinking about the Vimle and just getting an extra set of covers so I can swap over on a whim if I have surprise guests coming right when my cat's decided to violate the couch, LOL.

I found the material a bit drying for this skin . Any ideas on how to soften it. Otherwise j might have to replace it with another material which will be a hassle .

I have this couch in yellow 💛 I am taking apart to wash right now. It is very hot here along so I may dry in the sun. I washed one cover and it came apart after drying and I was able to patch it. I wish I would have not be afraid to do this a couple years ago. Thanks for this video.
I know this was months ago but is it comfy? I know someone who said it’s uncomfortable sitting on it longer than an hour or less. I sat on it for 2 mins so couldn’t tell

I'm indecised between this one and the farlov series. they are the two best ones for small spaces that aren't that miniature like 1m50cm or less and last long in good shape.
ikea has plenty of small sofas but a lot of them just feel cheap, get ruined faster, aren't comfortable at all or are two small. small houses sometimes aren't easy haha
Mine is 3 yo with 2 kids using it as trampoline literally every day and it it’s still in good shape now (don’t know about tomorrow 😆).
The cover does wash really good.

How did this couch hold up as far becoming loose or wobbly?
Hi! How about the cushions? I have the kivik sofa for 2 years now , and especially with quarantine the sofa just lost its volume. Have you ever filled the cushions ? Do you have any tips?
A redditor used 2 fjadrar per back cushion to make it always plump
This was VERY helpful. Could you clarify if this is the gunnard beige color? Also, do the back cushions tend to slip down behind the seat cushions very easily?
yes thats the color. no the seats they stay in place and so do the back pillows
I am thinking of this sofa or Froslov. For me the selling point was removable covers which was making me lean towards Vilme but now I am a bit concerned about washing covers as I have Fibromyalgia and would probably need someone to assemble the couch for me meaning I will also been someone to disassemble just so I can wash covers, and as I am single and not with the greatest support system ( not to mention I don't want to burden a anyone with that task) I am now not sure this is a good idea.
You can also spot clean the sofa.
Tell about the model is that vimle two seat sofa and chaise lounge....
Looks amazing. I was scared of stains, I should have gone for this color instead of the medium gray. Still traumatized from assembling it, don’t want to disassemble it, maybe I will try the lighter covers on top

I’ve had mine for 2 years. No shape lost. I do flip the back covers once in a while though.
How do the cushions hold up? Im doubting between the Kivik and Vimle, and plan to go for whichever ages best.

Hi Saida, thanks for posting this. I have been looking for reviews on this sofa and can’t find anything useful. One of the comments I’ve seen from buyers on the Ikea website is that the cushions slide out. This is something that absolutely gets on my nerves about my current sofa but wondering if everyone experiences the same issue with the Vilme sofa or if it was just that particular buyer. Can you shed some light on this?

I think its comfortable, but it depends on what you find comfortable you know? I like my couch a bit on the firm side I think it keeps its structure. I don't believe the vimle has a pull out for a bed

they discontinued this exact one which is why the link doesnt work, its now called finala and its gunnared beige i believe

I have this couch and I have 2 little boys and a cat and it’s really great. It does get dirty from them but the covers wash up great. They jump around on it and the frame has held up. I’d recommend.
I do have 3 children and a husband, and its holding up well
Ikea is discontinuing this couch in a month, so just wanted to let you know you might want to try and order any covers or additional pieces now before they are gone ☹️.

@@Saidastiles just same back from IKEA, yea...but they said they will just change the name and article number, everything else will remain the same, the new products will come in April

New version is out. Called Finnala and it is an actual change (not just a name and number as suggested). Looks almost identical, but the dimensions are slightly different (bigger) so the parts will not be interchangeable. If you think you want new covers or anything for vimle I would try to get them now, although it is too late in some places.
