Islanders Strategy | 2,500+ Points on Island One Guide

- I adore Islanders, a little minimalist city builder recently released on steam. Here's my strategy for getting high scores out of your island, intended for newer players or people trying to level up their game and compete for high scores. This was filmed a couple days back so it doesn't cover the expansion content, but most of the same ideas should apply.
I was briefly #6 on the global leaderboards before better players finished their 40-hour high score runs, and yes I still talk about it. Still top 50 so don't @ me.

very helpful.
i thought i was doing good making scores of less than 1000 on the first island. after this video though on my first try i made 3700! those buildings were stuffed in there like sardines and i was placing them much better.
Awesome! The update added a few new starter island generation types, and combined with the new buildings you can get some seriously high scores on even the first island. Thanks for the comment!

I had just heard about Islanders, and was curious about gameplay. This was an excellent example, and a great primer on gameplay mechanics for one who has never played.

Oh thank you. I also love the game, but I usually play trying to avoid red numbers so I never get real far with buildings. I understood much more now, very nice video :)
