Never really ranked all these Pixar Shorts myself. But my favorite has always been "Geri's Game." It was the first one I saw.

Also I went and watched Mr Incredible and Pals after this. (I also watched the commentary) and I'd just like to say, I have never seen anything so terrible but so amazing!

The Red and Blue Umbrella is my favorite. Though, there are so many that are good, it’s hard to choose.

Bao is my favorite short. I always cry when the characters cry. But the first time I watched it, that part you referenced was quite shocking.
Bao is my all-time favorite. It tells such a universal story. I was 15 or 16 when I saw it in theatres but it made me cry so much. I have such a close relationship with my mom and knowing that someday she will go through something like this was eye-opening and touching. I also love these kinds of shorts where we are immersed in a culture. I watch it all the time, its just wonderful.
Bao is my favorite too! The allegory was brilliant, and for me it's the only short that goes through such an emotional rollercoaster in only 8 minutes and without any dialogue, much like the beginning of Up.
The ending of that short film left me speechless & on the verge of fainting. WTF?
The Blue Umbrella is a work of art! It deserves S tier status! 😁

Kitbull made me cry so much because I myself have a soft spot for pitbulls growing up with them nearly all my life. The message was so strong too.
My personal favorite Pixar short is Geri's Game. I just loved the concept and I was thoroughly entertained by it.
Thank you for putting For The Birds on the S tier as that is the first Pixar short I ever remember seeing.
And yes, Lava is soooooo catchy. My husband is so tired of me singing it all the time.

I love Lava because my friend in 6th grade loved it and would always want to play it in music class. He died that year and it’s my favorite because of him.

My top 2 will always be One Man Band and Presto (interchangable). My mom even made me a Pixar cake once for my birthday and included my favorite shorts and full length film on it. Still my favorite cake to this day.
Blue Umbrella was my favorite. I get into the romance stories so yeah, be in my top favorite shorts
Partly cloudly is my fave. I remember buying UP because I found myself standing in Walmart staring at a big screen like an idiot giggling about the cloud's reaction.
For the Birds is second
Bounding is the best short, it was my childhood

I love Geri's Game, and the fact that he kinda makes a cameo in Toy Story 2 blew my mind when I found that out.
My list would be pretty similar I think other than the blue umbrella :)

I just watched Mr. Incredible and Pals (both the original and the commentary), and I agree, the commentary is way better. It was so funny and had me laughing so hard, specially with Samul L. Jackson's commentary of his character and the rabbit!! 😂😂
When are we going to get tier list for DreamWorks movies?
I’ve been wondering that too, there are a lot of Dreamworks films to cover up and this a perfect time for him to do so. We got the latest film that came out this year Boss Baby 2.
He should also do a tier list for live action Disney movies

Me: OH MY GOD YES I LOVE THAT SHORT (seriously I watched that short and all the bonus features from The Incredibles 1 over and over again as a kid and to this day I still have quotes from the commentary randomly stuck in my head on a very frequent basis)

Am I the only one who was EXTREMELY disappointed to find out that Pixar stopped making short films? I was expecting one for Inside Out 2, but we didn't get one & I was CRUSHED.

It's satisfying to see that tiers A, B, & C have the same amount of shorts to the point where they all meet up at the same place.

Hey Brian! I have to be honest. I haven’t watched many of the Pixar shorts yet, but I love your tier list videos! You got me curious about Mr. Incredible and Pals. I was having a hard evening, but listening to you laughing hysterically over the commentary was contagious, and I started laughing too. I’m curious about it now. I’m gonna have to watch it! I have Disney Plus!

Honestly, for the relatable feeling, I would put Red's Dream in S tier. Hear me out on this for a sec.
I have a job working at fast food Tuesday through Friday, and when I had to work on Independence Day, I was expecting it to be SO BUSY that I had to work overtime, but I heard from one of my co-workers that holidays (at least, Independence Day) are not that busy. Just like Red, I was crushed by reality.
My Ap Lit class watched a couple Pixar Shorts for full blown essays, I think that says something about the story telling that we could pull full blown essays our very short segments

I was in a Fiddler On The Roof play. I was one of the villagers.
I personally think that Kitbull should have been separated from sparkshorts. The message and the story of it made it one of my favorite pixar shorts along with Bao. Yes, it was sad, but it was such a heartwarming story to the point that it could have been an entire movie if they tried.
I definitely agree that "Day & Night" is S tier, but it's number 1 for me.
Maybe you should do a tier list of DreamWorks Animation films. If you are interested. 😁
I just noticed that 3/4ths of the shorts in D-tier have dark backgrounds. The Cars shorts are the only one that stands out.

Tin Toy is define fly bottom tier. I just can’t handle how ugly that animation is!
Tin Toy is even older than Toy Story so at least it has that excuse, but still, that baby tho. Ugh! 🤣
It is pretty ugly looking, but it was a pretty smooth animation at the time of its making.

I got Monsters Inc on VHS for my 7th birthday (my sister turned one on it’s release) and I have VIVID memories of watching For the Birds with my dad and uncle cracking up. So many memories with both the movie and the short!

"La Luna" is actually Italian for "The Moon". Maybe it exists in the same universe as "Luca"? The animation is VERY similar.

Sparkshorts are literally Award-contending short films. But to be honest Paperman and Feast are still one of the better shorts even though theyre from Walt Disney Animation. Short Circuit too

2:49 I'm gonna be honest, Brian. I've watched Red's Dream a lot & it's gotten to the point where I've become desensitized by the clown. Also, by your description when I first heard it, I thought you were referencing something related to the IT franchise. Specifically a kid riding a unicycle near the sewers on a rainy day & getting pulled down by Pennywise... I HIGHLY DOUBT that you've watched that movie, though.
My favorites are The Birds, the one with the lamps, and the one with the snow man who can't get to his lady because of that snow globe he's in.
IMO, Bao was WAYYY too high in your list! I thought it was stupid, overrated, confusing, and not that enjoyable. AND IT WON A FREAKING OSCAR!!! I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND IT!! Until this video though, I really didn't realize how much shorts have been pushed out by Pixar! That's craazy!
