The official says rallygoers alerted officers to the man who had climbed onto the roof, but when an officer climbed up, he pointed his rifle at the officer. @@EliPiezan-kt3emyou clearly doesn’t understand how it works. SS works with local enforcement and HS. Local enforcements were in charge of that area and they apparently failed to do their job. SS would be responsible for trusting local enforcements but that’s nothing new as they can’t do it by themselves. To cover that site with just SS you will need hundreds of agents and that’s just impossible.

And it was upon the witness 2nd returning to where he was originally standing, that shots rang out !
This witness is on video stating this !

There are other witnesses besides the one guy in that video. There is a high possibility they were talking to different cops. Unfortunately, the cops reactions in both stories were inadequate.

" Cop " climbing the shooters ladder and the shooter pointing his gun at the Cop !
It's odd though, as witnesses claim they watched the shooter move from roof to roof, before stopping at his firing position .
So that would mean the police officer would have to have done the same thing, in order to confront the shooter !
But their story claims the Cop peaked over the ladder, and then had a gun pointed at him, and he went back down the ladder ?
My point, if I have one, is that the Officer would have had to traverse from roof to roof also, to find himself where the shooter was staged !

in one article (not sure which, sorry), one of the witnesses says they had been facing in the direction of the shooter and fired back immediately in that same direction. On of the witnesses interviewd on TV - the gynecologist I believe, tall guy in red shirt - says he was astounded how fast the secret service fired back. And Greg the witness with the visor who told the BBC he tried to alert cops to the shooter, had security service watch him (the witness) with binoculars the whole time. I suppose they were also monitoring the strange guy on the roof, waiting for him to be apprehended - instead of outright shooting him.

Well according to what was being reported here is that it was brought to the officers attention by the people but no where was it mentioned that he had a gun. If indeed that is the case and not ONE person mentioned the gun, I could see him going up there without his in hand. Thin, I know, but not out of the realm of possibility. Either way, egregious failures all around starting with the security detail in the first place. I smell conspiracy.
@@HelloMoto1991 : For those who are knowledgeable of security detail in any facet, there are MANY reports given to security personnel about suspicious activity, and most (almost all) of them are false alarms. Being told that there's a guy on the roof during a rally would definitely fall under the "Oh, OK, let me go check this stupid account out" category. The security detail probably thought it was someone trying to get a better view.
I find it more troubling that a bunch of civilian onlookers were able to spot the guy well before he took the shots and yet Trump's personal attachment saw nothing (or did nothing upon sighting the guy). I'm withholding conspiracy theories at the moment and going with the incompetence excuse, which is par for the course for the worst major presidential candidate in American history.

"the officer retreated" - this is very vague. Did the officer have his gun drawn? Was he somehow surprised by the gunman? Why would there not have been an exchange of gunfire? Seems like the officer could have had the element of surprise as the gunman probably wouldn't expect that someone had followed him up on the roof.

Law enforcement officers generally take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. Police are under zero duty to protect people.

Is there anything to corroborate the officer's story? Because one witness who said his group was 50 feet away from the shooter, they notified officers and secret service said that they were not doing anything about it. This report does not seem to match up with the witness report. Is there video of the officer going on the rooftop? Just not so sure if this is true or if it's damage control.
The story is never straight so soon after an event. It'll take weeks or months for all the info to come out.

Do the police not have comms? Like why did he not radio it in asap? And if he did why did SS not get trump out, They may have been on their own channels, but surely there would have been a surveillance team monitoring multiple comms channels that could have relayed info. It's possible,,,, many departments use reserve or special police for crowd/traffic control who are not armed. Even NYC has unarmed Auxiliary Police Officers.
So there was all kind of activity going on top of that roof and the secret service watched it happen!

@@davidbilich1708 what was said was, the cop went up on the roof, the gun man saw him pointed the rifle at him and the cop retreated. Meanwhile the secret service was watching thru sniper scopes. they could see a fly from that distance!

The report is getting more ridiculous. Why would the police officer climb the roof? What happened to the drones, radio, and snipers on the roof? How did the suspect know that it was the right place to climb without being apprehended?

Per the doctor at the rally that was helping the guy that was dying , he asked the cops to helping moving from where he was and the doctor almost crying says that they took the guy and dragged him all the way down , and I saw that on one video, it disturbed me so badly. I didn’t know who the guy was, but the way they dragged him was too sad.
